Chapter 15: Choice

Zhui Li's head were throbbing. It was painful that she can't bare it anymore but she still has so many things to do and deadline was near and she can't afford to rest. She stood up to get her medicines but she lost her balance and she fell on the floor. She tried to stand up, holding on the corner of the table but she was too weak to pull her own body. "No... please don't gave up yet. I need to finish the novel... I... I still need to write." She begged to her own body. "I... I will not let those people think that I am a copycat... I... I... "she whispered but everything turned dark and the last thing she knew was she heard Fanxing's voice calling her name.

Yibo stood up when Mr. Han and their family doctor came out from Zhui Li's room. Xiao Zhan was not there since he look after Fanxing who was terrified seeing his mother in that state. The doctor said that Zhui Li collapse because of fatigue and malnutrition. The maid said that Zhui Li was not eating her meal and she only drink food supplements and energy drinks.

"She needs to take care of herself... it's probably not only fatigue, she's also stressed and she's having hard time falling sleep." The doctor told them. "She asked me ones to give her prescription of sleeping pills because she's having insomnia. If she didn't change her habit then it will put a great toll on her body so I hope you don't put more stress on her. I can sense that she was suffering depression, I suggest you should also let her go in a psychiatrist." The doctor told them.

"I told her not to read the comments online." Mr. Han mumbled which made Yibo and doctor stared at him. "I...it's online harassment. Someone started that her works are copycat of someone's work and she's stressing about it. I told her not to take it seriously because those are internet trolls who has nothing to do with their life but she still..." he continued. "Don't worry doctor, I will do what you have suggested. I will walk you to the main door. Yibo, look after your mother for a moment."

Yibo nodded his head and he went inside his mother's room who was deeply sleeping. He can see the deep dark circles in his mother's eyes and her dry chap lips. He didn't notice it since she was always smiling but he never imagine that her mother is suffering so much from the negative comments on her in the internet.

He sit down besides his mother and caress her forehead. "Mom, I'm sorry I didn't notice." Yibo told her. "Please take care of yourself from now on. I will not let those negative comments to continue so..."

"Yibo." Xiao Zhan interrupted, he entered the room and he sit down besides Yibo. "How was Madam?" he asked him.

"It's fatigue." Yibo told him. "Also, she's suffering depression." He added. "I didn't notice, I didn't notice that my mom."

"Is this about the copycat issue?" Xiao Zhan asked him. Yibo looked at him wondering how he knew about that. "I saw your mom reading those negative comments the other day but I told her to just ignore them because they are not true." He added.

"How was Fanxing?"

"He get tired from crying so he's sleeping peacefully now." Xiao Zhan answered. "He's so scared that he thought your madam will be gone because she won't wake up at all. I guess it traumatize Fanxing, you should talk to him too. By the way, how about your father, is he not going back home?"

"Dad still has work to do and he can't cancel it, but he said he will come back home next month." Yibo replied. "He thought of bringing mom back to the US. He said that it will better for her but I know mom will decline this idea because her job is in here. They talk about this a few times but mom is always saying that she can't leave this place but knowing about what happened I am sure dad will going to force her and if that happen..." Yibo looked at Xiao Zhan when he stop his words. "Never mind." He said while he grabbed Xiao Zhan's hand. "Thank you. I am glad that you are here. I don't know what will I do if you're not there."
