Chapter 3 - Learning Magic & Freeing Mavis

After Y/n had joined a few days had pasted, he had gotten use to how jobs work in Fairy tail he had bagan to take and complete jobs much more faster than the other guild members, when you have the strength and speed like Y/n has a normal job that would take a team of members a few days to complete takes Y/n a few hours. Y/n's has taken many quests  some with small rewards like 10,000 jewels and some with large rewards like 4 million jewels, but dispite being rish now Y/n had one think on his mind.....Magic, as he was currently sitting at a table in the guild hall thinking about it.

Mavis : "you look troubled"

Y/n looked up to see Mavis sitting across from him.

Y/n : "yeah sorry just thinking about all the jobs I've taken"

Mavis : "what's wrong with them, you seem to be strong enough to handle them yourself"

Y/n : "I know but I've noticed how some people get confused when I say I have no magic powers"

Mavis : "hehe well that's to be expected, your the only person that's part of a magic guild with no magic power"

Y/n : "do you think I can learn magic"

Mavis : "let's see....your father wasn't able to due to his Kryptonian heritage, but you being half human...why do we find out shall we"

After following Mavis both of them ended up in the Fairy tail library, as they entered Mavis and Y/n began to look through all the books when Y/n found something that caught his eyes.

Y/n : "Water Dragon Slayer Magic, but don't you need a Dragon to use it"

Mavis : "well yes but some can be self taught...but due to people finding it so hard to master most don't even try"

Y/n : "I see"

Y/n opened the book as he quickly read through it within seconds he closed it again.

Y/n : "I think I get it now"

Mavis : "wait you do but you haven't fully read the book yet"

Y/n : "I already did"

Y/n turned to face a wall that had nothing on it.

Y/n : "Water Dragon Roar"

Mavis looked shocked when she saw a water breath attack come from Y/n and smash into the wall....

Mavis(mind) : "he's incredible"

Timeskip

After finding out Y/n's ability to learn magic very quickly Y/n and Mavis spent the entire day in the library teaching Y/n all types of magic, by the end of it he had learned so much magic he could make the 10 wizard Saints look like pushovers, as they took a break Y/n decided to ask something that's been bugging him for a while.

Y/n : "hey Mavis can I ask something"

Mavis : "sure what's on your mind"

Y/n : "what's that power coming from under the guild"

Mavis's eyes widen in suprised, but she soon giggled a little as he wasn't the only on to find out.

Mavis : "your father said the samething....come with me"

After being lead down stairs Y/n and Mavis came across large doors, as he opened them his eyes widen as he saw...Mavis's body.

Y/n : "I...is that"

Makarov : "yes it is"

Y/n turned to see Makarov standing there.

Y/n : "I...I'm sorry I asked Mavis what was that power I could feel but I didn't expect this"

Makarov : "while this is normally meant to be a well kept secret between guild Masters, we have made your family an exception to that rule"

After being told Mavis's past Y/n didn't say a word, all he did was look at the crystallised Mavis.

Y/n : "first master Mavis, Makarov.....I hope you can forgive me for what I'm about to do"

Makarov : "Y/n don't, I know what your going to do your father tried the same but still couldn't break it"

Y/n : "but I have to try I won't let anyone suffer....not again"

Y/n approached it and began punching it over and over, as he did Mavis and Makarov only watched as they know he wouldn't get through it.....but as he kept going a large crack appeared surprising them.

Mavis : "is he really"

As he kept going the crack got bigger and soon Mavis's Ghost disappeared, as Y/n cocked his fist back one more time he punched it shattering it completely, as Mavis's body fell he caught her all while Makarov looked shocked.

Makarov(mind) : "incredible, he managed to do what his father couldn't.....just how strong will Y/n become"

Timeskip

After being Freed Mavis woke up in the medical room of the guild, as she looked around she saw Makarov sitting there.

Makarov : "first master is good to see your finally awake"

Mavis : "Makarov did he really"

Makarov : "yes, Y/n managed to shatter the lacrima Freeing you...that boys strength is nothing like I've seen before"

Mavis : "he really is something else"

With Y/n

After Freeing Mavis Y/n was sitting at a table waiting, as he did the guild was in an all-out brawl with them selfs again, but as he ate he felt someone sit beside him he looked to see Mavis there smiling.

Mavis : "thank you Y/n"

Y/n : "glad to see your not just a ghost now....I'm sorry if you felt pain when I did that"

Mavis : "well ether way you saved me...hero hehe"

Y/n(whisper) : "Mavis you said you fell in love with a girl named Zeref right"

Mavis : "y..yeah but she"

Y/n : "where can I find her"

Mavis : "I don't know Y/n, but why do you want to know"

Y/n : "because I'm going to save her as well, she means a lot to you right so as a thank you for letting me join I want to make everyone here happy"

Everyone watched for the first time Mavis....began crying.

Y/n : "I..I'm sorry I didn't mean to"

Y/n was surprised when Mavis suddenly hugged him.

Mavis(crying) : "thank you....Y/n"
