Alkia 2: Game Crest

'Di ako mapakali. I couldn't believe that was happening. Whoever discovered the way to open those virtual gates was mad. What if it was not yet perfect? Anong mangyayari sa mga taong napunta sa loob ng isang virtual world? Makakabalik pa ba sila sa reyalidad?

"I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon. We just received a tip about this project, that's why I came back here to investigate. I guess we're already late. May hinala na kami kung sino ang may kagagawan nito pero kulang pa kami sa ebidensya," sabi ni Kuya Darren.

"Sino?" agad na tanong ko.

Humugot ng malalim na hininga si Kuya Darren habang nakikinig lang ang mga kasama niya. "Game Crest," sagot niya.

"Game Crest? I work for Game Crest, and I haven't heard anything about this," wika ko.

"A top secret project. They selected only a few individuals. And they won't choose you if you're against it," saad niya.

I hissed under my breath. We'd discussed that before, but I never thought they'd test virtual games so soon, and in a dangerous way. Napakuyom ako ng kamao and bit my lip. "I need to stop them."

"No. Stay out of this," utos ni Kuya Darren. "Kami na ang bahala. Don't go near the virtual gate. Hindi tayo sigurado sa maaaring mangyari sa 'yo."

"Hindi ako pwedeng tumunganga na lang dito," giit ko. "I need to go to Game Crest. Kung kailangan ninyo ng ebidensya, tutulong ako."

"Prius is already accepted in Game Crest. He'll start tomorrow. Hayaan mo na siya sa problemang ito," giit ni Kuya Darren.

"No. I'll help him. Mas gamay ko ang Game Crest. We'll go there tomorrow. I can't stay put doing nothing," pinal na sabi ko. My brother looked at me helplessly as if hoping I'd change my mind. "Please, Kuya Darren."

"Hayaan mo na siya, Darren. Don't worry. I'll make sure she's safe. Mas madali dahil alam niya ang lugar," sabi ni Prius. Nilingon niya ako. Matiim na tumitig ang mga mata niya sa 'kin na halos magpabilis sa tibok ng puso ko. "I have some conditions for you. Don't act on your own and don't ever leave my side. Because once we start this mission, you're already my responsibility."

I mindlessly nodded.

Naiinis na ginulo ni Kuya Darren ang buhok niya. "Tang 'na, Prius! Kapag may nangyaring masama sa kanya, humanda ka sa 'kin!" sabi niya. Ngumisi lang sa kanya si Prius. "Fine! Pumunta kayo bukas sa Game Crest. Alamin ninyo kung saan napupunta ang mga taong dumadaan sa virtual gates. I also need a copy of that virtual world, the design or anything helpful. Baka puwede kong mapasok ang system nila. Let's find a way to bring those people back safely."

Tumingin si Kuya Darren sa dalawang babae. "Viel, Mari, stand by," saad niya. Tumango ang dalawang babae.

Prius looked at me. "This is Viel," turo niya sa babaeng may katangkaran at may magandang kutis. She had a small pretty face, red lips, and light brown eyes. Her hair had blond highlights. She waved at me with a kind smile.

Itinuro naman ni Prius ang katabi ni Viel. "Si Mari," he said.

"Hi," bati ni Mari na may matipid na ngiti. Her voice was sweet as candy. Perpekto ang hugis ng mukha at malalantik ang mga pilik-mata. Maputi siya at mala-manika sa ganda. She's also sexy. Her light brown eyes suited her well. Tuwid na tuwid ang itim at mahabang buhok niyang hanggang likod. I bet Mari and Viel were siblings.

Marahan akong tumango sa kanya pero nahalata kong pasimple niyang pinag-aralan ang mukha ko. "I'm Denise," sambit ko.

"Umuwi na kayo, Viel. We need to work now. I'll contact you later," sabi ni Darren.
