I walked through the door of my house, the smell of sweet fresh strawberries filled my nose.

I smiled as I walked to the kitchen and saw my mom baking a cake.

"Hi." She said with a smile as she cut the strawberries.

"What's this?" I asked her.

"Just a little something." She said with a cute little move which made me chuckle.

"Okay well when this 'little something' is done. Make sure to call me down, I want some while it's still warm." I said as I walked up to my room. 

I set my stuff down on my bed and took my shoes off. 

I pulled my phone out along with my homework. 

I opened my playlist and plugged my phone into my speaker before playing my favorite song, 'Don't Play Your Card' by Mxmtoon.

I sat down at my desk and started working on my homework.

I sat down on my bed as I felt a tear fall from my eye. 

The sound of my favorite song played from outside of my room.

I turned my head to the door, but only stared.

I got off of my bed and headed to the door.
