Renjun spent the rest of the night in the corner of the wide hall, hidden in the shadows. He didn't know where Chenle was, but he didn't care at all. Jaemin's appearance pissed him off and his only desire was to make the elf pay for those awful words he said earlier. Renjun started thinking about Donghyuck's boyfriend and how different he was from the young prince and his two friends.

"Piece of shit." He whispered while his eyes landed on Jaemin's perfect face which was glowing, most probably from the magic that surrounded him.

"Who's a piece of shit?"

Renjun flinched when he heard the soft voice and when he turned around, his eyes landed on a perfect pale face. Jeno gave him an eye smile and when his lips parted, he saw those white and sharp teeth the young elf had.

"Don't you have to be on his majesty's side Jeno?" The boy asked and looked at him coldly, trying to make him leave because of his behavior.

The elf chuckled at his question and Renjun looked at him as he ran a hand through his smooth black hair.

"He's not my owner, so I can do anything I want." Jeno's eyes landed on his face.

It felt really weird, receiving attention from a faerie who wasn't even that friendly with him. Renjun remember his cruel smirk from earlier, when Jaemin pissed him off before classes even started. He knew Jeno didn't give a fuck about him and his brother, but Renjun couldn't help but ask hinself if he was playing a game, like everybody did there.

"What do you want Jeno?"

He smirked at the faerie, knowing that they couldn't lie, so what he was going to tell the male will be the pure truth and if his prince was planning something, he will know.

"Me?" He pointed with a finger at himself and when Renjun rolled his eyes, he sighed and gave up his way of changing the subject. "I came to pour myself some wine and I couldn't help but overhear your whisper. So, who's the piece of shit?"

The boy chuckled and looked at the green liquid that was sparkling in Jeno's glass.

"No one." He replied shortly, knowing that the elf already knew he lied.

"Humans and their way of lying will be always something interesting to me." Jeno took a sip from that magical green wine and licked his lower lip. Was he trying to be seductive in front of Renjun? "I mean, you could say anything and it could be all a lie."

"True." He had to agree with Jeno in that, but he didn't know him so why bother explaining to an arrogant elf how lying works among people? Renjun was sure he didn't care that much anyway, he was just trying to make conversation with that human that studies with him after all.

While looking around the hall, his eyes landed on Chenle, who was talking to Donghyuck and Mark, not far away from where they were. Renjun looked back at Jeno and gave him a fake smile as he finally had a way out of there.

"I should probably go." He said and Jeno only nodded and said nothing else in return.

Renjun made his way to the three and wrapped his arm around Chenle's slim shoulders. He felt something burning his back so he turned his head a bit, only to be met by a pair of dark and cruel eyes. Donghyuck's voice made the boy snap out of it, but Renjun had to ask him again what he said, because his mind was still thinking of Jaemin and his hate towards him.

"Did you have fun with the mortal?" Jaemin asked Jeno later that night, when he was enjoying the company of two faeries on the couch from his bedroom. He gave his friend a smirk and thought of him and that filthy human talking.

"He wasn't in the mood of talking anyway." Jeno replied and sat down, across the prince. Jisung sat down next to him and gave the two faeries that were with Jaemin, a glare which made the two girls freeze.

"Leave." Jaemin mumbled the words, but the two obeyed his words and quickly flew out of the room, leaving the three boys in silence.

"Mark is engaged with Donghyuck though and he's Taeil's son too." Jeno said and the prince chuckled while he poured himself some wine in a golden goblet.

"But he's half faerie while those two are pure humans with no ties with Taeil's blood."

Jisung rolled his eyes in annoyance while Jeno sighed.

"And also, Mark's my friend which means I have to be okay with his love for that half breed."

Jeno always knew how mean could Jaemin be, but that was on a way other level. Yes, Mark was their friend, but Jaemin didn't treat him like a friend since he got together with Donghyuck, he only called him a friend.

"I don't think you consider him a friend anymore Jaemin." Jeno replied and the prince looked at him with his cold eyes of his. "You never let him hang out with us anymore."

He laughed and drank the whole wine from his goblet. He was pissed off, both Jeno and Jisung knew.

"Get out." Jaemin growled at him and slammed the goblet on the table. "Get the fuck out of my room Jeno."

He stood up and bowed his head a bit, in a sarcastic way. Jeno wanted to tell him that he was feeling bad for him, because Jaemin had so many problems in his life that he never admitted to anyone, thinking he was the perfection in person, but he said nothing and stormed out of the bedroom.
