Weeks passed. Billy was sent in jail for a few months for violence and Neil wasn't allowed to approach Max or her mother. The redhead's arm was free, and the plaster cast was placed on her nightstand next to her paper fortune teller.

Today, Will was celebrating his birthday and invited all his friends to spend the days at home. Jonathan decided to invite Constance, Nancy, and Robin to spend the day at home too, especially to help him and his mother to keep an eye on the excited little human beings.

Constance and Jane arrived with Robin. Joyce opened to them, presented a friend of hers called Annabelle, before letting them join the group.

- "Hey Will! Happy birthday!" said Jane with lots of enthusiasm, giving him his present.

- "Thank you!" smiled the boy, taking her in his arms.

- "Nice party hat!"

She wanted one.

- "Here is yours!" told the young boy.

She had one now.

- "Thank you! I love it!" said the brunette, placing it on her head.

Constance and Robin wished a happy birthday to the young boy who thanked them and gave them a party hat too. Will went back to his friends while Jonathan was approaching the two teens.

- "You look ridiculous," smiled Jonathan.

- "So do you!" mocked Constance.

- "Don't be so mean, it's fun!" told Robin.

- "Yeah, you're right, it's fun."

- "You're already kneeling in front of her, you're fucked up!" joked the teen boy.

- "Nah, only when she is right."

- "Which is always!" added Robin.

Constance pouted which made laugh the two other teens. The kids went behind the house where the table and the games were. While the kids were playing together, Jonathan was helping Nancy and his mother with the organization, and Constance and Robin were sitting at a table with Annabelle.

- "So, it's you Constance? Joyce always talks to me about you and your sister," smiled the woman.

- "Oh yeah? I'm famous!" joked Constance. "I hope she didn't say bad things."

- "No, only good things. She told me you have a strong and complex personality."

- "Oooook, what does that mean?"

- "You're not scared to reply to people, older or stronger than you. When you have something to say, you say it."

- "Yeah, that's kinda true."

- "That's totally true," added Robin.

- "Maybe."

- "What kind of relation do you have with her?" asked Annabelle.

- "Um, I don't know, we're good, I guess, why?" frowned Constance.

- "Because she seems to like you both a lot, and as she is my friend, I want to be sure you won't manipulate her or something like that!"

- "What!? God, no! She offered us a place to live when we needed! If she is not trying to steal Jane from me, I'm good with her, that's all!"

- "Why would she be trying to steal your little sister!?" asked Annabelle, surprised.

- "Because she is cute, and she wouldn't be the first one to want a little Jane with her!"

- "Oh, that's awful, did someone try to steal Jane!?" frowned Robin.

- "The orphanage tried to separate us because the parents always wanted to adopt her and never me. Many abandoned because I didn't wanna be separated of her, but one day I let her go, and she was so sad that she ran away to find me," explained Constance.

- "Aw, that's actually cute!"

- "Yeah, except that a guy tried to kidnap her. By luck she recognized me and ran to me before he could do anything to her."

- "Oh, that's actually awful and sad...What's wrong with people!"

Constance shrugged and pouted as an answer.

The kids began a game where they would be in teams of two and one of the team had to run to a point, take one paper with an indication, go back to their partners who had a blindfold and were behind a canvas, and read them what was on it. The one who couldn't see was supposed to draw thanks to the indications. The first team who finished the drawing would win. Lucas was with Will, Mike with Dustin, and Jane with Max. Jane, Will, and Dustin were the runners. The three friends began their race with the same desire of victory, especially Jane because the prize was a bag full of candies. They gave everything to this race, all motivated, but still doing it with lots of fun. As it was March the grass was wet which was destabilizing the contestants. Jane was doing her last paper, but when she arrived near the canvas, she lost control of her feet, fell on her back, and slipped to the canvas, hitting them and her three friends behind with her body, making them fall on her.

- "STRIKE!" mocked Constance.

Jane was the first one to burst in laugh followed by the others around. Joyce helped them to stand before asking:

- "Are you hurt?"

- "No, we're good," answered Lucas, still laughing.

- "Just dirty now," added Max.

- "I think Jane won the race," chuckled Mike.

- "Don't worry, there is a prize for all of you," smiled Joyce.

The mother went inside her house before coming back with many bags of candies which she gave to each kid and even the teens. Jane quickly opened hers and took many of them to put them in her mouth.

- "Sweetie; keep some space for the cake, ok?" said softly Joyce.

- "Oh yeah, good idea, I'll wait!" answered Jane.

- "Give it to me, to be sure you can control your love for candies," said Constance, holding out her hand.

Jane pouted and gave her candies to her sister with a heavy heart. Will sat at his table, while everyone was in front of him with their presents in their hands. They gave them to him one by one. Will had games, video games, or things to draw more. After the presents, they all sat around the table while Joyce was arriving with the cake under everyone's singing. Will blew his candles in one time and everyone applauded.

- "Did you make a wish?" asked Jonathan.

- "Of course," smiled Will.

- "What was it?"

- "I can't tell, or it will never happen!"

- "Good answer."

Jonathan cut the cake and gave a piece of it to each person. Will was so happy to have all of them with him and just for him; it was an amazing moment, better than family reunions, it was all of them, his family.
