Chapter 10

I should give you heads up that there will be a mention on self harm In this chapter but I will make a warning on the chapter for anyone who prefers to avoid it

Y/n pov
We got to the top and goodness it was beautiful. You could see all of Manhattan across to Brooklyn and Queens if was magical. I couldn't believe my eyes it was breath taking.
"Oh.My.Goodness its....its beautiful I...I....I dont know what to say" I said with such adoration in my voice. Jodie walked up next to me.
"It's gorgeous isn't" She asked
"I never seen anything like it, I mean I've seen it in films but it so much different in real life"
"I've been to New York for other things that arent all work related but I have never been up the empire state "
"Wheres Mandip" I asked looking around trying to spot her.
"She went to get a information booklet" Jodie informed me sounding distracted. I flicked my head back and jodie was looking at her phone.
"You alright "
"Yere, my Interview has been rescheduled"
"Oh ok"
"Ah it's fine more time for Mandips birthday" she perked up
"So what's the plan" I questioned wondering what the info was
"Well it's all planned Tosin and I did that back in england before we came, all you got to do is come to Mandip hotel room and make sure you have some nice fancy clothes to hand as we are going out for a meal after " she explained with excitement
"Ok sounds great" I said back acknowledge what had just been explained to me.
We both just smiled at each other and looked out over New York city
"Did I miss anything" mandip said as she came back to us
"Nah not really just getting to know y/n " Jodie lived very believably
"Ah ok" she said "Did you know the empire state building was built during to create the world's tallest building in the late 1920s " she remarked trying to seem smart but clearly just picked it up .
"No I didnt know that ,where did you learn that" I asked seeming impressed
"The lady at the desk just told me"
"For a second there I thought you actually had some decent knowledge" Jodie remarked as a Joke .
"No offense Jodie but you didnt know about the Jurassic coast until about 2013"I said trying to continue the joke but without being rude
"Ok you really need to stop that it's really creepy but really fascinating"
We all just giggled together
"Oh look who it is " a voice from behind said in a competitive, mocking tone . We all looked round at the same to see who it was and who was being challenged.
"You cant go anywhere without picking a fight Racheal ,even on the top of the empire state building " I said trying to make a point but not fight back
"You could never actually stay in a fight, you would always back out like a weak little bitch and go cry somewhere or go back to your habits"
Jodie grabbed my arm and told me not to retaliate
"You were always weak weren't you couldn't do anything for yourself "
"I think its time to go" Mandip spoke getting us out of the situations.
"I think I'm gonna head back to the hotel" I said to jodie as manpid was just returning something at the desk on the ground floor
"Are you gonna come tonight you dont have to but I'm just wondering"
"Yere I will , I'll get ready when you back"
"Ok fair enough but after the meal, do you wanna tell me what just happened up there " She asked sounding concerned
"Yere ok, thx jodie I'll see you later"
I walked back to the hotel via a stationery shop .

Jodies Pov
"Where did y/n go" Mandip asked as she came back from the desk
"She went back to the hotel" I explained
"Ah ok "
"Poor girl, I'm no expert but there was clearly history between them two "I said but deeply worried for y/n
"But the other girl the nasty one that seemed like some pretty fresh hate" Mandip said adding on a point to mine
"Yere perhaps that was the friend y/n   came out to see but kicked y/n out of her house and life because y/n told her she was a lesbian"
"Yere seems likely"
"Well its sad that just happened but we still have your birthday to shop for"
"Ok then"

Y/ns Pov

I got back to the hotel room after popping into a stationery for a sharpener. Soon as I got in the room I just dropped my jacket on the chairs and pulled my shoes off. I had a set of small screwdrivers in my suitcase so I dismantled the sharpener and took the blade to the bathroom. This was the one thing I could rely on. I lifted up my top to the bottom of my ribcage. Some of my past cuts and scars were displayed but I took the blade and continued to create cuts on my stomach. Each cut there was crimson red liquid oozed out . I did over and over 20 times eventually I felt alot better . Since I was in secondary doing this was the only thing that helped me and the only person who knew was Racheal but by now she thinks its finished.

Apologies it has taken me so long to update I just haven't been in the right mindset to right and my mental health is all over the place and I'm struggle quite a bit as are many. Also sorry this chapter was pretty deep. But asides that I hope you like and I'll see you in the next chapter
