Chapter 14

Hey so before I start this chapter I'm just gonna say I'm gonna attempt to write some german. I took it GCSE and my teacher knows I like writing online so she suggested including some German so get ur google translate ready (unless you can understand it ) and I apologise in advance if I use the wrong word my German isnt strong but I can still say a fair amount

Me and Jodie wondered around deciding on where to go. The thing with London is there were so many places you can eat at. We decided to go with the little german restaurant which was a 15 minute walk from our flat block. I'd had been once before about 10 years ago and it was really nice, plus I had a fairly strong tongue for German so I was wondering if the staff waiters and waitresses were german.
"Wow this place is gorgeous" Jodie said as we walked through the door
"Bavarian I believe" I said in response
We were greeted by a quite a pretty waitress
"Hello how can I help you today" she asked us with a semi-thick German accent
"Hallo tabelle für zwei bitte" I responded
Jodie looked at me in surprise
"Ah du sprachen Deutsch" The waitress asked me looking impressed
"Ja"
"Bist du aus Deutschland" she asked me
"Irgendwie" I responded
"Cool" she said and took us to our table and walked off.
"I did not know you spoke German "
"I told you in New York I took it GCSE and I was born there "
"Oh yere, it's still really cool though "
"Thanks, but your face when I started talking german was priceless" I was giggling
"Well I was impressed anyway do think that waitress will speak English cos I know for a fact I cant speak, read or understand a word of german"
"Well who knows she might"
The waitress came back with a note book and pen I'm guessing she was about to take our order
"Was Kann ich Ihnen bringen?" She asked us
"What do you want jodie " I asked her
"I'll have that "she said pointing to something on the menu
"What about a drink " I asked her
"Just a coffee black no sugar" she kept her voice down clearly wanting me to translate
"Zwei schnitzel, ein spezi und Schwarzer kaffee nein Zucker bitte" I ordered
"Ok, ist das alles" she asked
"Ja, danke" I responded
The waitress went back to the kitchen and Jodie continued to give me a look of amazement
"What? It's not that big of a deal "
"I know it's just really cool"
We sat and chatted and then our food came and we continued to chat although we were running out of things to talk about, strangely. Luckily we were just finishing up.
"This is gorgeous how come I have never had this before" Jodie asked about the food
"Well I'm surprised we used to have this ever saturday when i lived in Germany, I really miss it there "I said remembering back to when I was 4/5 years old.
The waitress came back with the bill and I had already insisted on paying
"Das war sehr sehr gut danke schön"
"Ihr wilkommen, kann ich Ihre Nummer haben"
"Entschuldigung, ich bin an jemandem interessiert"
"Oh, wer ist das glückliche Mädchen?"
"Das Mädchen, mit dem ich zum Mittagessen gekommen bin, aber ich habe es ihr noch nicht gesagt, shhh"
"Oh, viel Glück"
"Danke"
We gathered our things and began to leave
"Tschüss danke schön"
We headed out and down the street we just enjoyed a nice walk and a nice day.
"That's enough german for me for a while " I joked
"Yere im not gonna even ask about half the things you were saying, although some words sounded like English words"
"Yere that happens"
We just continued to walk home to our flats with huge smiles and a giggles.

So this chapter was abit different I have to admit there where a few phrases which i had no idea on how to write say or understand so I did use google translate but barely. I hope you liked it apologies if it is a struggle to read with all the german words and to any german readers sorry if I got some wrong I have only done if for 2 years x
