To your relief, a guy named John soon says he has to go use the little boy's room and you jump up from your seat and exclaim that what a coincidence you have to go too!
Both of you head into the jungle together and once you are far enough away from camp, he hands you the lamp and walks straight into the darkness alone. Suddenly you hear a horrified 'AHHHHH!', followed by lots of loud hissing. You wait a few minutes for him reappear but at some point, you can't hold it any longer. You leave to finally do your own business and head back to camp. You're sure he'll return on his own later, once he's done with whatever is taking him so long to do.
Only later next morning will you actually discover that his foot got caught in a tree root, making him fall headlong into a giant pit of snakes. He died a horrible death.
