Judith's POV

I had this weird feeling when Tristen brought his girlfriend over. Not just because it's clearly the girl he cheated on Audri with, but also because she seemed familiar. I obviously hadn't met her before but it felt like I had. When she said her mom's name was Janine, my heart exploded. I didn't dare bother my father about it; he wouldn't handle it very well. I decided to keep it to myself until I knew for sure. We all drove in one car to the movie theater so I thought this would be my chance to gather more information.

"So Auriella, do you have any siblings?"

She looked at me in an odd way but answered. "I have a younger brother."

"Cool. Hey you know my mom's name was Janine too."

Was?" she asked. "Sorry for your loss," she said sympathetically.

"Oh no honey, that selfish bitch left us," I corrected.

We finally pulled up to the movies, but I wasn't done with my little investigation.

After the movie was over, I offered for dad to drop Auriella off at home. She agreed and we headed towards her house. When we got there, I was getting anxious. Tristen got out and walked her to the door. I was hoping that her parents came to the door so I could ease my mind. No luck. Tristen hopped back into dad's SUV and we headed back home. I texted Audri to let her know we were on our way. I knew she wasn't sick. Hopefully it'll give her and Justin enough time to clean up after themselves.

The Next Day

I got up extra early and snuck out before anyone saw me. I headed to Auriella's house to do some more investigating. When I pulled up in her driveway, I was super nervous. I didn't even know what I would do if I saw "her". I opened the door to my little silver Audi and stepped out, legs shaking. When I got to the front door, I lifted my hand up to the door. It seemed like forever before I got the courage to knock. A man answered the door. He was tall and had light skin and a very bright smile.

"Hello, you here to see Auriella?" he asked very politely. It was fairly early so I didn't expect politeness at 9 am.

"Umm, no I'm actually here to see Janine?"

"Oh alright, let me get her," he opened the door for me to come in and went up the staircase. When she came down, I felt like a little kid again. I wanted to know everything.

"Hello, I'm Janine. I don't think I know you sweetheart." I was totally lost for words. How could she not know her own daughter?

"I'm Judith Coleman," I said.

Her face turned pale and she grabbed her chest. She sat down on the edge of the stairs. "How did you find me?" she questioned.

"Why?" was all I could get out. I was so furious.

"Listen Judith, it's complicated," she said.

"What the hell? Complicated? You had a husband that loved you, loves you. He still loves you. Not to mention the three children you left behind. Imagine what we went through after you abandoned us."

"Can we talk about this another time?"

"No Janine, you had plenty of time to yourself. I need answers right now. Tell me what made you leave a life that women would kill for."

"Judith, I wasn't happy. It wasn't because of you, or your sister and brother. I loved Aiden too, but that wasn't enough to keep me there."

"We weren't enough for you? You took our sister and married another man."
