"What the hell is this?" My mom questions pointing to her phone screen to a post on tiktokroom. I barely have gotten home 15 minutes ago.
"What?" I ask confused on what she was trying to show me even though I kind of ignored her and looked down at my own phone.
"Read the fucking phone Ryann." My mom commands clearly in a pissed off mood. I groan already annoyed by her mood but I listen, I'm gonna have to listen until I'm out of this damn house.
"Yeah and what about it? I don't see a problem here, literally everyone gets on a tea page every once in awhile."I state giving her a look of confusion.
"First off, since you're on a 'tea' page it is not good for your image, and second they think you like girls. You better tell them to delete this post." My mom rebukes putting quotation marks on tea because I taught her the lingo and she finds it stupid.
Nervously I nod and with a shrug say, "it's not a big deal we know the truth, I'm not going to be one of those people that is butt hurt over a small thing. You can comment for all I care."
"What's going on down here?" My older sister Riley questions as she walks down the stairs nearly tripping down it, probably have hearing the commotion from my mother and I. Riley recently started getting annoyed with the arguments saying it was giving her a headache.
"Learning that mom is probably fucking homophobic." I chuckle with a shake of my head and a eye roll before going upstairs to my room to sulk.
"Language! And we're not done here." My mom yells following me but I am to quick as I close and lock my door behind me.
I don't know if my parents are actually homophobic but on many occasions they act like they are. Now that my mom is not denying, also proves my theory.
"Ryann Mae Pierce open this door right now, I don't think you want your dad breaking it down." My mom ordered, threatening me from the other side.
Reluctantly I open the door to see my mom who is red to the face with anger, like I didn't tell her I was going to hangout with Charli. I didn't even sneak out, so why she so mad?
"Just promise me you're not into girls and or dating Charli." My mom states crossing her arms like I could change my sexuality.
Anxiously I lie and say, "I'm not going out with Charli. I can't just hangout with my friends? You gave me permission to hangout with her."
"It was just you and her but I guess I'm not worried because you've always liked boys." She shrugs before walking away.
