"Charli? What are you doing here?" I ask answering the front door not expecting to see her.
"I wanted to talk to you." She answers shyly.
I look at the ground and back at her deciding if I should let her talk to me.
Part of me wants to say no and never see her again because I'm over dramatic or let her in because I still have feelings for her.
"Come in." I shrug reluctantly, "don't make me regret this."
"So I dropped Jaylee, she always made it about you." Charli starts.
"Okay and? I tried to tell you." I state rolling my eyes.
"There is no need for the attitude, damn." Charli chuckles putting her hands up in defense.
I sigh but try to lighten up, "so you are here to what?"
"You got memory or loss or some because I said I'm here to talk, and I guess apologize." Charli says shaking her head.
"But I don't need to apologize for anything because I didn't know she was obsessed with you until the whole thing." She finishes.
"The only thing that bothered me was that you believed her over me." I shrug.
"When did I ever say I believed her though? Just because I kicked you out that once doesn't mean anything, I just didn't want it to escalate." Charli explains.
We both stay silent for a few thinking of what to say next.
I hate that I still like Charli, it's like a love spell or some.
"So did you just come here to tell me some you could've texted me?" I ask, not in the mood.
Charli stares at the ground not responding to me.
"I was thinking that we should try again." Charli says shyly.
"What? You literally just ended things with Jaylee, that's way to fast." I say with a confused face.
I'm so confused by Charli one minute she wants you the next she doesn't and it starts all over again.
"We were just in the talking stage." Charli states like that'll convince me, I'm not desperate to get back with her.
"Doesn't mean you need to get with someone right that next minute." I reply making a face.
She sighs saying, "but everything was less complicated when we were together."
"You sure about that? Our whole relationship was complicated, you are complicating." I challenged.
"You know what maybe I shouldn't have come here." Charli shakes her head before getting up and heading for the front door.
"You don't just leave when things don't go your way." I comment.
She watches me from the door, her hand on the knob deciding whether to stay or go.
"So you said you want to get back together, why? Wouldn't you fight for someone if you actually wanted them?" I question.
Charli rolls her eyes and says, "I can't deal with your attitude and If I recall, you were the one that wanted me back. I thought you'd want this."
"Just because I wanted you a couple of weeks ago doesn't mean I want you like this." I state.
Char reluctantly sits back down on the couch trying to figure me out.
"I guess you are right about our relationship being complicated, but we can work on it." Charli says quietly.
"Trust me, it'll be better if we wait a few weeks." I suggest honestly.
