15 NARRATIVE

CHAPTER QUINCE

Today Charli and I
decided to go on a
double date with Dixie
and Griffin. A cute little
lunch date at a cafe.

I've only met Griffin
once and it was like for
two seconds. But the
sway boys kind of all
have the same look of
"I'll fuck all the hoes."

"You've never been
here?" I question Charli
and Dixie before
continuing with a light
chuckle, "I guess I'm
just biased because
there is one in my
hometown."

"I rarely eat out but It
seems good, anyway,
how's the house stuff
going with your dad?"
Charli asks with a
shrug.

"House hunting is
going good but my
mom said she finna
sue for custody, like
you ain't even want
me calm down." I
rant with an eye roll.

"Oh yikes hopefully that
doesn't happen." Dixie
says, nobody else really
knowing what to say
about my life drama.

The sweet lady at the
counter hands us our
orders and we all get
up to grab it. Sitting 
back down to enjoy it
and talk some more.

"What happened with
that girl Sophia?" Dixie
questions. I kind of feel
bad I'm the only one
with drama they want
to talk about.

"We texted about it but
of course I'm still upset
because she caused the
drama with my mom." I
shrug with a awkward
chuckle.

"She also turned the
comments off on all her
posts before i could say
some. But anyway like
Ryann said, we should
stop talking about this
stuff." Charli adds.

We finish our brunch
and head out to walk
around. Of course it's
a little busy but at
least that annoying
paparazzi guy isn't
here to harass us.

"Griffin and Dixie are
so cute." I state in a
whisper to Charli as
we walk behind them.

"But we are cuter."
Charli chuckles with
a playful wink. Dixie
passing us a joking
glare, clearly hearing
our conversation.

"Only in your dreams
kids." Griffin jokes as
we head into one of
those stores that are
mainly for tourists.

Charli and I roam
around the small
clothing shop looking
at things that appeal
to us. Both Griffin and
Dixie disappearing
somewhere else
in the store or some.

"This is kind of cute."
Charli states lifting a
red shirt up to her
chest in the mirror.

I nod before heading
over to an area where
I spot a cute outfit.

"Omg my poor eyes."
I exclaimed covering
my eyes after walking
over to an area where
Dixie and Griffin
happen to be making
out. Like we are in a
store calm down,
horny ass fuckers.

"I had fun with you
guys today, we should
do it again." I state as
I get dropped off first.

My moms car was
here meaning I'd deal
with some stupid
bullshit. I'm still
grounded but I'm
kind of not listening.

"Out with that child
Charli I see." My mom
harshly says as she
watches me from
the kitchen.

"I thought I told you,
you're grounded." She
continued rolling her
eyes. Walking into
another room like I did
something so bad she
couldn't look at me.

When I walk upstairs I
hear my sister and her
boyfriend laughing and
giggling. Clearly they
made up, let's hope my
sister is ready for step
motherhood.

"Y'all do realize moms
home right?" I question
through the door, and
wait for a response.

My sister quickly
opens the door and
pulls me inside her
room. "Yeah we were
waiting for you so you
could help us sneak
him out." Riley
uneasily chuckles.

"Bruh just throw him
out the window or
some." I joke kind of,
only because I'm not
in the mood for this
stuff.

"How cute your sister
wants me dead." Eric
jokes making me roll
my eyes.

We decide the plan
where I go and distract
my mom and show her
the "broken faucet" in
the guest bathroom.
Well that's only if she
isn't in her bedroom. If
she's in her bedroom I
can just talk to her for
a couple of minutes
and hope she doesn't
bully me.

My sister pushes me
out of her room and
we execute the sneak
out plan.

"Hey mom." I say
quietly ready for her to
like throw something at
me or take a swing at
my ego.

"What do you want?
I'm in the middle of
something right now."
Mom says, surprisingly
not seeming her
normal agitated.

"Oh okay." I state
walking away just in
time as the front door
closes.

this is kind of a filler but anyways
I kind of need some drama inspo.
