CHAPTER CINCO

It had been a week since my date
with Charli and my blow out with
my mom. Things really haven't
been the same since. Charli and
I are technically official now even
though I told her I'm not saying
anything to the public until my
parents know.

"Have y'all kissed?" Vincent asked
from the bean bag chair as we
chilled in his family's garage
which we turned Into a hangout
a few months ago.

"Everyone asks this but I guess
we haven't. I mean she kissed
my cheek but like I don't think
either of us has kissed a girl
yet so we are nervous."
I answer with a shrug.

"Come here and kiss me for
practice." Sophie winks and
bites her lip jokingly at me.

"And this is why we can't have
nice things." Camille shakes
her head with a chuckle at our
interaction.

My parents don't know I'm at
Vincent's because I told them
I was going out with Camille.
My parents hate Vincent with
like a whole ass passion for no
reason.

"My mom is at Chipotle what
y'all want?" Vincent asks after
probably reading a text from his
chill ass mom. She'll do pretty
much anything for us, which is
a bit of an exaggeration but we
get the point.

We order our usuals and continue
on ideas for a YouTube video
because neither Vincent or I have
uploaded in a bit.

"We could do like a which best
friend knows Ryann or Vincent
best?" Camille suggests before
continuing, "I mean we got the
white boards from that never
have I ever video."

"Let's play hide and seek or
some, I love those videos."
Sophia chuckles with a shrug.

"I think we should just chill, every
time we are here we make videos."
I state not really in the mood for
a video.

"I just really want to stay over
night in like an ikea or Walmart."
Camille laughs, checking herself
in the mirror.

My phone rings in my pocket
which is a rare occasion so
of course I answer it. Sadly it's
my mom and I go to ignore it
but that would cause trouble.

"Do you think you can come
home early?" My mom questions
not in her normal rude tone.
What's going on? Who died?

"If you tell me what's up. I don't
want this to to be no random
ambush." I reply as I head out
of the room to talk in private.

"Your sister is sick and we are
taking her to the hospital." My
mom continues on the other end.
She usually overreacted at that
kind of stuff, I've been to the
hospital like three times just
because I had a high ish fever
or I threw up once.

"What do you want me to do?
You want me to come home
now?" I ask, not sure of what
she expected me to do, even
though she just asked if I could
come home early.

"Actually it's cool, we'll see you
tomorrow." My mom answers
contradicting what she said
first before hanging up without
a goodbye or an I love you.
