Day 12: I'm grateful for shoulder naps. They feels amazing, and it's nice to have that connection with someone close to you. Whether you're letting someone nap on you or taking the nap yourself, I find it comforting and heartwarming to know that someone trusts you enough to remain that close to you while catching Z's, or someone cares for you enough to go out of their way in making sure you're comfortable as you're doing so.
Because of my height and broader shoulders, I'm usually the person people lean on when taking shoulder naps. We had them most often during marching band season when traveling to football games or competitions, and it always felt nice to give them to my friends knowing that they trusted me enough for that comfort. I would feel special whenever it happened, and I'll always be grateful for that silent form of connection and trust.
