Day 35: I'm grateful for bedrooms. A bedroom is a reflection of a person. If it's messed up or cluttered, you know whoever it is spends a lot of time in there, but their mind may be all over the place. If it's minimal and bare, you know whoever it is doesn't spend a lot of time in there, and is usually busy with other things, or maybe not busy at all. Even still, a bedroom should always be a safe space. You can cry of laughter anger and sorrow in your bedroom, you can lip sync an early 2000s song that no one likes, you can exercise, and you can watch dumb videos or a show that you're embarrassed about while snuggled up in bed, and so much more in that room. Your room is for you to be you, and I feel like losing a room with would mean losing the freedom to express yourself somewhere without consequence; it's something to be appreciative for though, not many people are blessed with it.

I've had my own purple bedroom since I was 3. At a time my sister used to sleep with me in here but now she's got her own room as well. Even still, my room feels like my haven. It's where I recharge, where I vent to no one, where I let feelings out and express myself, and where I am most comfortable. Since quarantine started I've been spending a lot of time in my room because it's where I feel most at ease as well as safe with my thoughts. My room isn't that big or anything to show off, but the comfort I have in here is enough for me. I've never had a bad memory in this room, and I wish for it to always be that way.
