Day 37: I'm grateful for teachers. Teachers are underpaid. . .that's a fact. Their job is more of service than work, and they wouldn't be doing it if they didn't have a drive to help kids find their path and pursue their dreams. Teachers deal with so many students, hundreds, and yet they remember every single one. That surely means something, because a teacher views a student as more than another person to teach. They're undiscovered potential; they're future world changers, and teachers do the best they can during their time with them to help unveil that potential. Students are terrible, and we could never be appreciative enough of all the hours and extra miles genuine teachers take out of their lives to help their students. The same students who don't care that much.
I've been blessed with good teachers for my entire life (except for one in 5th grade and one in 6th grade math; that didn't work out) and I remember each of them well. When I was younger I didn't talk to anyone all that much, but I used to mistakingly call my teachers "mom" all the time because of how much I looked up to them and felt their care for me. All of my teachers have different stories, but they're all amazing; and I love what they did for me and other people, even people who didn't believe in themselves. Teachers have cried with me, checked up on me, laughed with me, and have even called me; and they don't have to do any of that. They did it because they love kids, they love their job, and they're angels.
Here's my fattest thank you. ❤️ Your service is priceless, and can never be fully rewarded. You make a future possible, and you guarantee that this future will be better than the present ever has been.
