"Umm CY have you seen this?" Kat yells across the Malibu beach house.

Christian comes in from the side deck and frowns, "No what's up?"

Kat shoves the phone in his face with the group chat on the screen. Christian's eyebrows shoot up and his jaw drops as he looks at the photo and reads the message, "What the fuck," Kat comments.

"Do you think this is real?" Christian asks.

Kat gives him a 'duh' look, "This is by far the most Baker Mayfield shit I've ever seen in my life."

Christian nods agreeing with his girlfriend, "Yeah Baker would elope with the girl he met five months ago."

"Wow..." Kat sighs looking at the pictures of Baker's very private wedding with Kathryn Plumber and reads the text to herself again.

I wanted you two to be here, but we couldn't wait. Sorry please forgive me or else tonight is going to be awkward...

Kat laughs, "I don't even know what to say about this."

Christian shrugs and heads to the master bedroom with Kat in tow, "Nothing you just gotta let Baker be Baker."

Kat sighs, "I definitely did not see him getting married first though."

Christian lets Kat lay back on the soft bed, "do you want to get married."

Kat looks down at her small baby bump that even at 18 weeks is barely showing. Perks of being a super fit athlete? Your pregnancy isn't hard to hide, "honestly, I just wanna have this baby being pregnant sucks."

Christian sighs and kisses her slightly puffed belly, "I know this has been hard on you," he admits thinking of all of Kat's sleepless nights, morning sickness, cravings and terrible mood swings.

Kat runs a hand through Christian's hair and then strokes the back of his neck as he lays his head gently against her stomach, "Christian, I am so scared..." Kat says as her mind begins to wonder to all the things that could go wrong with her one chance to have a children.

"I'm scared too Kat," Christian whispers, "What if I'm a terrible dad? What if I can't be there enough?"

Kat blinks to keep from crying as the thought of being a terrible mother comes to mind. What if her child hates her and resents her for bringing it into this world. What if she can't be there for it or teaches it wrong. What if it gets hurt what if something happens? What if this child ends up exactly like Kat...

"I am so scared and there are so many things that could go wrong..." Kat admits to her baby's dad, "But there are so many things that could go right..." Christian looks up at Kat and blinks back his own tears, "You are the most important person in my life, but the day this baby takes its first breath this child is the only thing that matters to me," Kat says.

Christian nods, "I know and I want you to know that I will do everything for this baby."

Kat's belly jumps and Christian and Kat both stare at each other with wide eyes as their baby moves around.

...

Kat cheers as Christian swings at Baker's wild pitch as the baseball explodes into a cloud of pink dust. Christian takes off running around the bases of Miller Park with his hands up as if he had won the World Series. Everyone cheers and congratulates Kat while her boyfriend is chased by his friends.

Christian finally runs back to Kat and kisses her, "A girl!?" He yells wildly. "I can't wait to be a girl dad!" Christian exclaims and kisses Kat who is crying tears of both happiness and sadness.
