When I woke up, I found Alastor asleep next to me, his red and black hair half covering his face. He looked so peaceful I didn't have the heart to wake him up. Quietly tiptoeing out of bed, I went downstairs to start some coffee.

It had been a while since I had woken up at another person's house, much less a guy's. Alastor wasn't the type of guy where I wanted to sneak out and hope to God they never called me again. But what did one do when you were left alone in a guy's house and he was still asleep?

Pancakes seemed like the logical choice. I mean, who could complain about waking up to fresh coffee and pancakes?

I got to work whipping up a batch of pancake batter while I drank my coffee. Alastor's kitchen was bigger and definitely more well equipped than mine. But then again, my mixing bowl was the same bowl I ate cereal out of.

"Well, I could get used to waking up to something like this," Alastor's voice said from the doorway. I turned to see him leaning against the door frame, thoroughly amused as he watched me.

Holding up the bowl of pancake batter, I chuckled as I asked, "Chocolate chip or blueberry?"
