(Warning, there is a scene of torture in this chapter. I shall put up a warning for that. Other than that expect some rough interrogations in this chapter)

Commissioner Linda walked in a corridor. The corridor was bland in appearance, stale titanium walls bare the small hall, occasionally a painting or two about either the great Garserian noble, the painting of the Grey King himself, or his only daughter. Often she would stare at some other paintings like "Picasso styled paintings" that the Commissioner barely understood its meaning.

She was on her way to the interrogation extraction offices to acquire information before the one-week deadline for the decision whether or not should they proceed to attack the world beyond the Gate.

Forces were easily mustered due to the systematic order of the Garserians where each military branch has its professional leaders who oversee many roles with the help of their subordinates. Incompetence pays dearly for any who should try to botch attempts of clean and efficient work.

Now all that she needs now is information. She approached the end of the hallway where two Garserian guards clad in white armor stood.

"I am expected," Linda said, her artificial voice enabling her to speak.

"Of course ma'am, the warden shall brief your progress." One of the white-clad guards said before he opened the door.

Inside the room was dark, rows of seats and desks were found in the room. With floating holograms on some of them, detailing specific information like the heart rate of someone and many other details.

The rows of chairs and desks were facing a transparent glass where a white room can be seen, a bright light emanated from inside the room. Inside the room was a metal stool, a table, and another stool with electric devices and gadgets strapped to it.

This was the interrogation room where different officials would witness an interrogation to extract information as much as they can. Maybe even enjoy the show on what the interrogation method would be involved. On each desk was detailed information about the one being interrogated, from heartbeat, language translation subtitles, and all information summarized for the official to read.

Linda looked around and then found the person she was looking for, a man sitting at one of the desks looking at the interrogation. The warden himself seemed to noticed Linda's presence in the room as he stood up and looked at the Commissioner.

"Ah, Commissioner. I trust that the guards caused you no trouble?" The Warden said in a deep Russian accent. He was one of the Rusviet Garserians, a descendent of the late Russian race. He wore a green uniform, complete with an officer's hat on his head. He looked kind of young, about aged 35 to be exact.

"Ah, Warden Dunavich." Linda said,  "Nothing troubling of the sorts. Now, what happened in your interrogations?" She asked.

The warden would then close his eyes and sigh before saying, "With poor results ma'am. With the language barrier being a problem and the rather stubbornness of these Roman wannabes... Information extraction is uneventful. That is if we account for the standard techniques. We're moving on to more physical methods if they don't speak at this rate." The Warden said.

"What do you mean? The captives, they don't talk?" Linda said in confusion.

The warden then showed the interrogation room, before he said, "Best see it for yourself. We had a police investigator to have a go on the interrogation with one other these abhumans half rabbit women the primitive army came with. We're starting slowly to see if they are receptive to police interrogations before we move on to our extreme measures."
