Later, somewhere in Benragrade

(Continuation of the last scene of Chapter 4: Discussion)

Duskana crawled as fast as she could in the vents. She was roughed up from when she was fired at. Currently, each time she tried to crawl further into the vents it would be a little rough, considering there were some paths that had rough falls and edges which her injured self struggled with to move.

Eventually exited the vents from where she spied on the meeting, holding her abdomen which now had a large bleeding hole. A mixture of red and black blood was bleeding from it. The sign of her unnatural connection to the unholy Void.

She then struggled to stand upright. Her assassination attempt failed yet again, she pursued her personal glory and nearly got herself killed again.

Duskana looked around the place, she was outside of the building but her escape was separated by a massive concrete wall.

"Stop!" Duskana then looked at where the voice came from, and there two Garserian soldiers came from

"Oh I had enough of this sh*t." Duskana said before she then raised her boltpistol at the two Garserians.

"Sh*t! Boltpist-" The Garserian soldier then had his face explode in a shower of blood, brain matter spattered the walls.

Duskana's boltpistol was smoking from the shot.

"Contact! Hostile engaging patrol at perimeter wall! Request backup, I repeat requesting backup." The surviving Garserian soldier said, but as he got out of cover to take a peek at where Duskana is.

"What Th-" The Garserian soldier then felt a hand cover his mouth and he struggles before felt a massive intense pain in his chest. There Duskana plunged her blade into the soldier's chest from the back. The massive blade is covered in the soldier's blood.

Duskana then let pushed the dying soldier off her blade and let him bleed there. She wiped the blood off her sword using the dead soldier's body.

"Yeesh..." The woman said before she turned around and saw Angie. She had unsheathed her sword and pointed it at Duskana. The black-clothed woman aimed her big sword at Angie, but could not do so properly because of her giant wound.

"Big sister b*tch!" Duskana said in anger at the sight of Angie.

"Your assassination attempt was pitiful, again you fail. This feud of ours is getting tiring." Angie said before she sighed. Angie's eyes were getting... Disturbingly uncaring, she was willing to do the next action without hesitation.

"Well not if I got anything to say about that you upstart slut! You whore yourself to a Garserian! To a filthy human." The black-clothed assassin removed her mask, Duskana's black eyes stared at Angie's golden ones

"A human that helped me find purpose Duskana. He helped me find a purpose to live more in life unlike you, a backstabbing heretic to Grethur's faith. A murderer... A liar. A disgrace of a sister..."

"I have enough of this sh*t! I'm going to kill you and this time I'll be the one who will walk off unharmed! You hear me, sister! I will win this time! No longer shall I let you be better than me!" Duskana said in rage, pissed off with each word that came out of her mouth. Duskana then charged towards Angie.

Angie in response just sheathed her sword and brought out her pistol in quick succession. Duskana now had a pistol at her forehead in point-blank range.

Duskana knew she was too injured to be able to dodge a shot at point-blank range as she would normally do, Angie herself knew that as well. Before Duskana could stop herself.

"I'm sorry... again... " Angie pulled the trigger

*bang*

Duskana dropped to the ground after Angie shot her. The golden-eyed woman then drew some tears on what she did on her sister, an enemy. She then approached Duskana to have a look at her.

Dead, a clean shot in between the eyes. A hole was in its place to signify where the energy blast from her pistol hit her. Angie looked conflicted at what she had just done to her little sister. Duskana's eyes were without life as she laid there. They were open as she died, her last face before she died was a face of shock.

Nath had just arrived at the scene to see his distraught girlfriend kneeling over the dead body of the Voidborn spy, which was her own little sister.

He approached Angie who had just closed the eyes of her sister's corpse.

"You do know she will return again right." Nath said, he knew certain servants of the Voidborn were gifted with an uncanny way of returning back to life if they were to be proven too useful to die.

"I know that, I just wish that things were different, it's painful to fight her again and again and again. It's driving me insane..." Angie said in anger before she stood up.

"I need to think... Just... I'll catch up later." Angie said before she left the scene, Nath looked concerned at his girlfriend before he looked at Duskana's body.

"Damn..." The Huntsman said as he stared at the dead body,  he then turned on the comms on his head.

"Get me three body bags and a cleanup crew in here. We have three dead bodies in the 5th angle perimeter wall. We have confirmed casualties, the spy is dead." Nath said before he looked at the bodies.

"When will this f*cked up war end..." Nath said before he sighed. Duskana, Angie's sister was technically their enemy but Nath had always thought if things were different. He pitied both his girlfriend and her sister in some way, family feuds that reach the point of killing were not normal.

Nath looked to the sky of Benragrade, it was already dusk, getting darker and darker by the moment. Then he felt movement on the ground near him. In reflex, he stared at where the three bodies at, only there's one thing unnerving.

Duskana's body disappeared. Leaving the two dead bodies of the soldiers who gave their lives...

He then saw something in the ground, it was a black inky-like liquid slowly disintegrating from where Duskana was supposed to be.

This meant that the unholy Voidborn had already taken her corpse...

At this point, Nath did the only sensible thing to do...

Swear...

"Sh*t..."
