"Bes, punta lang akong coffee shop bibili ng cheesecake para kay Milo ah," then she walk through the door of my office and left milo on the floor playing with some of his toys.
I just watch him playing when my phone suddenly rings.
He's calling.
"Hi," he said in the other line.
"Hello, why did you call?" tanong ko, hindi ko maiwasang imaging malamig ang boses sa puntong ito. I just don't feel good today.
"How are you?" he ask like hindi nya pinansin ang tanong ko.
"I fine," I lie.
"Did you eat already?" bakit ba ang lambing ng boses niya, bakit ba napapatibok pa 'rin into ang puso ko sa simple 'hi' lang!
"Maya-maya siguro bakit?" diretso kong tugon. "I'm going back," he what? "I'm going back to Manila for the corporation gathering," he said, bakit kailangan niya pa itong sabihin sa akin.
"Ahhh" I wet my lips as I answer "k-kasama mo bang babalik si Aubrey?"
Malamang Cherry kasama siya, hindi iiwan ni Survey ang asawa niya lalo na't buntis ito. Hindi niya papabayaan ang mag-ina niya.
"No, she's not allowed to ride a plane," he uttered. I bite the bottom of my lips hearing those words. Bakit ako masaya?
"Ahhh ganun ba," sambit ko, iyan na lang ang sinagot ko kasi hindi ko naman alam kung ano pang sasabihin ko sa kanya.
"About the corporation's gathering everyone's coming, are you?" sasama ba ako? "Well, every partner should come I guess," pagpapatuloy nitong sambit. Sa tingin ko nga kailangan ako doon "Yes, I'm coming." sagot ko.
"Great, see you soon," he cheerfully said, then he turn off the call.
"Saan ka pupunta?" I glance at the door of my room, Blace was standing there holding a box of cheesecakes.
"Sa corporation's gathering daw ng DLM, required pumunta bawat partner ng corporation," sagot ko at lumapit kay Milo para buhatin siya.
"And hulaan ko nandon si Survey, friend," she sarcastically said, I nodded at her and sat on the sofa, para pakainin si Milo ng cheesecake na dala ni Blace.
"Keri mo ba, best?" she asked while giving me a slice of cake.
"Kaya! kakayanin, at kayang kaya, at isa pa tanggap ko na ang lahat kaya walang dahilan para hindi ako pumunta doon," I firmly said, she look at me as if sobrang proud siya sa akin.
"Ok, ako ng bahala kay Milo pag-alis mo, wag ka na mag-alala," she smiled while saying that to me, and after that, we enjoy the cheesecake together.

"Oh, pare nakabusangot ka d'yan, lunch break na hindi ka pa din kumakain, bahala ka maiinit sa site mamaya mahilo ka pag hindi ka kumain," sambit ni Bench habang umiinom ng tubig, halatang kakatapos lang kumain.
"Nah, maya na busog pa ako," walang gana kong sambit, at patuloy pa 'rin ang pagtitig sa aking cellphone.
"Hindi nagtetext?" tanong niya ng mapansing nakatingin ako sa phone ko. "Yeah," I let out a heavy sigh, hindi ko alam nababaliw na ako kakaisip sa babaeng 'yon hindi ko alam bakit biglang naging ganito ako.
