Ambrosia Hatton couldn't help but laugh as Edward sped up to overtake Fred- the other Masen brother shot him the stink eye and tried to overtake in return. Despite how fast they all sped along the roads- Ambrosia trusted that they wouldn't end up crashing, they all had more control than that. Sitting there, in that car alongside Edward Cullen was Ambrosia's happy place, she was sure of that much as she pulled her blanket up to her chin and smiled dreamily. It had been a long two days for the brunette but she was happier than ever before as she watched the night sky flash around beyond the window.

"Will we go to school?" she questioned all of a sudden, startling her boyfriend who had gotten somewhat used to the silence though he smiled when she asked the question, looking into the beautiful eyes he knew so well. It wasn't much of a worry that he had his eyes taken off of the road, he was an excellent driver.

"I was thinking we could have a break from education" he winked and Ambrosia's face brightened at the idea, as much as she enjoyed school- She enjoyed endless days of doing nothing with Edward much more. Silence fell over them once more at that point as he hummed absentmindedly to the music, shocked to find that her heartbeat slowed when he did. It wasn't long later that her eyes fluttered closed and she finally found sleep on their road trip- The sky was plunged in darkness by then but he saw her face perfectly well with his vision. She looked so peaceful in sleep, unbidden by the stresses she usually experienced. Her panic attack the day before had been a sharp prod for the vampire and he promised himself that he would always be there for her, so she would never again have to cry on her own without someone to comfort her.

The house came into view before he even realised, the cars filing into a single line up the driveway. As usual, their new house was hidden well within the trees. It had been designed by Esme herself and Edward couldn't help but smile at the brilliant architecture, it followed a similar theme of wood and window but he knew that Ambrosia would love it. They hadn't planned to be bringing a human along and so she would be sharing a room with him- He doubted she would mind.

Having just fallen asleep, Edward felt awful having to wake her so he waited until the last possible second to do so. Parking in the garage among the many other cars, he exited- closing his door softly and directing a 'shh' motion to the other Cullens who clustered in their new home. They all instantly nodded in agreement.

"How is she doing?" Rosalie smiled, tilting her head slightly to the side to see the sleeping girl in the Volvo. Ambrosia looked so completely innocent as she lay there, shrouded in the warmth of her blanket and for a moment, Rosalie was in awe.

"Tired" Edward chuckled as the group at large began to fan out and begin carrying things into the house. The mind reader was quick to find his own bedroom on the second floor. It was incredibly large, double the size his previous had been and he knew the importance of the added size- it wasn't just his room now. The shelves lay empty, bed unmade and floor bare. And with a sigh, he began to put it together quickly. The bed was his top priority and it soon found itself made with the bedding provided. It was a stunning white four poster with shimmering sheer drapes and he knew that it suited Ambrosia Hatton marvellously.

Returning to the garage, he felt guilt burn in his chest as he gently opened the humans door and unbuckled her, sliding her out as calmly as he physically was capable and boosting her into his arms. The humans her grew steadier as she awakened, eyes blinking against the harsh lighting of the garage and he chuckled down at her expression of befuddlement.

"We're here" Edward promised in the lowest octave he could manage and still be heard. The dreamy haze of her eyes told him all he needed to know- that she was not fully awake just yet and so, when he entered their shared bedroom- he placed her straight onto the bed and tucked the covers around her.

"Stay" the human implored to her boyfriend and he chuckled as he softly flattened her hair, pressing a kiss sweetly to her forehead in a silent promise that he would. Though the girl fluttered into sleep in the next moment which was enough to indicate that she wouldn't notice even if he did leave.

Driven by the gentle hammering of her heart, Edward took to rearranging the mess that had become their bedroom. The boxes and suitcases piled in the centre of their rug dwindled slowly as he found places for even the most irrelevant things and when all was said and done- Ambrosia and Edward had amassed an incredible book collection. Resigned to sitting comfortably in his desk chair, Edward smiled at the sight of the bundle in the bed.

Bringing Ambrosia along for the ride was the best decision Edward Cullen had ever made and he knew that for certainty as he watched her sleep peacefully. He was protective even in the absence of danger but that was just because he loved her so incredibly...
