"L-Laurent?" it was the last name Ambrosia expected to hear, she had been trapped by Victoria for a week yet still wasn't any the wiser to anything happening around them. She wasn't aware that Laurent was even there. Surely he didn't intend to defy his own coven to help her? Ambrosia wished then more than ever that a door did not stand between her and Bree- she wanted to see the vampires face.

"Yes, he sent me. He arrived a few days ago at the main house" Bree informed, this 'main house', Ambrosia had heard lots about, it was where Victoria had been keeping her 'army' and she assumed that it could not be too far away. "He told me to tell you that he has joined the Denali coven" the name sounded familiar to the human but in her sleep-deprived, blood-drained and fearful body, she couldn't seem to recall who they were. Though, she knew that they were in some way connected to the Cullens and that sent her heart racing in new hope.

"What's he doing here, Bree?"

"Laurent is going to handle Victoria and Riley, and then he is going to come for you. He wanted me to tell you not to give up hope- That help is on the way" Bree breathed and Ambrosia couldn't help but grin to herself, eyes pinned on the oak door all the while as her green orbs sprung with happy tears- Help was on the way. That was what she had been waiting to hear for the past few days. It was all she wanted to hear in fact, since she had first been thrown into that stupid room by Victoria. She could truly survive this now and the thought of being reunited with Edward shortly made her heart brighten.

"Thank you, Bree. So much" she gushed, all shy, awkwardness flowing straight out of the small box window now that Bree had given her the ultimate good news.

"I don't like this life that Victoria has given me, Ambrosia. I don't want to hurt people." the newborn's voice shuddered as she attempted to explain how she was feeling. Bree hadn't ever met anyone who would be sympathetic to her words- She had been made to join an army- an army who Victoria intended to use to destroy the Cullens. Bree was never asked if that was what she wanted and the truth was that she didn't... She wanted to be good.

"Bree, my family. They don't live as Victoria does, they feed on animals... You could do the same. They would help you." Ambrosia attempted, voice warm for the person she had only just met. Bree and Ambrosia couldn't help but quickly form a connection to one another because they were so painfully similar in many ways. They were both there against their will, two girls who just wanted to do good but were too shy to make much of a difference. However, Brees interference in Ambrosia's life had been just what she needed. Ambrosia trusted Bree the second she risked her life to deliver her a message.

"I-- Do you think they would accept me? Even after what Victoria has made me do?"

"Bree, I am positive, they will accept you... Have you heard anything from them? Are they... Looking for me? Do you know?" Ambrosia attempted to ask one of her most important questions. What had the Cullens been doing in the past week? Why hadn't she heard anything from or about them? With their collective skills and gifts, she didn't understand what they were doing. She knew from her car ride with Riley that she wasn't very far away.

"They have been looking, Laurent said that he will go to them when he has the chance. He can't fight an entire army on his own, the other newborns- they aren't like me, they don't want to be good, they see each other as their family. The second he has the opportunity, he will get the Cullens and tell them where we are. Maybe they will be the one to save you? Laurent hasn't really filled me in on the plan but I know that you won't be here for very much longer, Ambrosia. It's almost over" Bree assured and Ambrosia smiled, feeling the joyous feeling of the light tears that danced down her round cheeks, catching in her dimples.

"Thank you Bree," Ambrosia breathed, knowing that she owed a lot to the girl and that if she managed to survive this... She would make certain that Bree received the life that she deserved. Bree deserved to live peacefully as the Cullens did. To live in a civilised way. It wasn't even a question on Ambrosia's mind if the Cullens would help her live a better life, she knew that they would. Carlisle just wanted to help people, he was a good man, one of the purest people Ambrosia had ever met and so, she knew for certain that if she could just get Bree to Carlisle, he would help her.

"It's okay, Ambrosia. I-- I have to go now. I think that Victoria and Riley are coming back but... Remember what I said, okay? Remember what Laurent said. It's almost time, you will be okay." she breathed out in a low but sincere promise and Ambrosia held the reminder fondly in her mind as she heard the familiar slamming of the front door as the newborn inevitably vanished and left her all alone.

They were coming for her.

Authors note: It's almost time for Ambrosia to return to the Cullens... I wonder what challenges they'll face along the way. Will Laurent, Bree and Ambrosia all survive the Army?
