Portrait Tutorial: Nose

The nose is so special, it gets it's own little part. I will run through sketching and what to look out for when shading in a nose.

Think of it like this: noses are fancified triangular prisms.

Now, dont judge too hard what you're about to see. I struggle with noses too and I had no reference.

Anyways, earlier I said fanciful prism. This is why. They are more shaped like this:

What a fat nose, but whatever.

Now nostrils.

Start with a 'c' shape (kinda, but not really).

Then fill that sucker in

Now shading. It becomes difficult when you don't pay attention to detail. There is so much, but again, simple shapes. The arrow represents the light source. I'll use the second image as an example.
