Chapter 12

Exams went by quicker than I expected. I couldn't do the best. But at least nothing serious happened like what happened during maths. Though I had illusions like that in some of the subjects. But I tried to shrug it and continued to focus on improving. It actually kinda worked. I really did well in physics and chemistry. At least that's what I thought.

Today was the last exam day so when the final bell rang,all the students cheered up knowing vacation is gonna start. I too heaved a sigh of relief that I can finally rest and have some quality time with friends.

Beomgyu came to me with his usual cheerful self,clinging on my shoulder," Heyyy exams are over!! Aren't you happy?"

"Yes I am. Finally I'm free." I said smiling brightly.

"Yayy..now we can hang out as much as we want," he said jumping a bit.

"Relax Gyu. Everyone is staring." I said laughing.

"I don't care. Let's go home first. We'll have movie marathon tonight." He said dragging me.

I balanced myself before keeping up my pace with him. He looks really excited.

Someone came running towards us tapping my shoulder. We stopped running and I looked back. It was Taehyun. I immediately became double times happier seeing him.

"Hii Yuri!!" He said waving at me.

"Oh hi Taehyun! Didn't see you during the exams."

"Yeah cz my room was in the other wing of the building! Btw how are you now?" He asked me.

"Umm good. How do you know I was sick?" I asked a bit confused.

"You literally fainted in my arms and you're asking how I knew?" He said sarcastically.

"Is that so? I don't remember though," I said, embarrassed.

"It's ok. It happens. Well I came here to tell both of you that my birthday is next Friday. You guys are invited. I'm throwing a party." He said happily.

"Oh wow. Sure thing. We'll come,right Beomgyu?" I said looking at Beomgyu.

He was staring at Taehyun with narrowed eyes. I snapped my fingers in front of his eyes. He came back to reality and looked at me with a "What?" Look.

"Taehyun is inviting us for his birthday. Aren't you going?"

"Uhh yeah. We'll be coming." Beomgyu said in a rather uninterested tone.

Taehyun smiled and patted Beomgyu's shoulder, "We'll meet their in the evening,bye mate." Then he walked pass us.

Beomgyu frowned a bit. I said him,"let's go now."

He nodded and we went back to his house.

~time skip~

After having dinner we both changed to our pajamas to be comfortable. Then we sat on the couch with a bag full of popcorns. Beomgyu was selecting movies to watch.

After arguing for like an eternity,we decided to watch something like rom-com. The movie started and we started munching on our popcorn.

The movie was sweet. How two best friends fell in love with each other was the main theme. They were friends for a long time. Annoyed each other,picked on each other,but never really realized when they fell for each other. Until some mutual friend confessed his love for the girl,the boy became so jealous. That's where the love story began.

Their friendship kinda reminds me of ours. Except the part for falling in love. Or maybe I'm too oblivious like the characters. I secretly looked at Beomgyu who was watching the movie without a word. No!! Probably not.

The movie finished with a happy ending. We decided to call it a day and went for bed.

The next day,I woke up to an annoying Beomgyu,who has just threw a bucket of water on me to wake me up. I was completely soaked that my shirt was sticking to my skin,giving a view of my newly purchased underwear.

Beomgyu chirped," rise and shine, sleepyhead." Then he seemed to notice my soaked shirt.

"Ughh beom.. you're literally the worst."

He smirked and climbed up the bed. He brought his face dangerously closer to mine making me back up a bit.

"Wow,nice view. Black lace,huh?" He whispered in my ear.

I turned completely red when I realized what he was referring to. I slapped his face out of instinct a little too hard.

"Ouch. That hurts."

"Get out you pervert." I said covering my body.

"Pervert? Says the one who's showing her bra off to her male bestfriend?" He smirked.

"Pervert. You just made me wet. Now you're complaining?"

"Oh you got wet for me,baby girl? Aww"

"Eww Beomgyu that's gross. Stop with your dirty jokes or else I'll chop off your little friend down there." I said,rather threatening him.

"Oh no, you're mean. My future-" he pouted.

"Get out now. I'll be downstairs in fifteen minutes." I said to him.

"Okay okay. Faster." He said,finally getting out of the  room.

I sighed and got up to get dressed. We'll be hanging out today after a long time. It makes me smile to be with my bestie.

I got downstairs and sat on the table. Beomgyu served me breakfast and sat down with his too.

"Umm Beomgyu can I talk to you?" I asked him.

"Yes sure. Go on," he said with a mouthful of his toast.

"I-its about Taehyun," I said nervously.

He paused a sec then motioned me to continue.

"You know I've liked him for so long. I'm pretty sure I'm not crushing on him anymore. I love him now. I really love him a lot," I took a break.

"Hmm,I know." He replied shortly.

"So I was thinking how about confessing to him on his birthday? It'll be my gift for him."

"As your wish. As long as you're happy and confident about your feelings,go ahead and confess. I'll be supporting you." He said, with a foreign expression on his face.

"Really? You're the best friend in the world," I said squishing his cheeks with my palm.

"Anything for you," he said inaudibly.

"Sorry!?"

"Nothing. Let's hurry up. We'll buy your dress for the party. You can't be looking awful like this. Then Taehyun will turn you down," Beomgyu said jokingly.

"Yah yah enough. I'm not awful." I said pissed off,but smiling afterwards.

So Yuri is finally gonna confess to Taehyun :) what do you think will happen?
