Chapter 8: Love, Maybe
"You seem so happy?" dad asked me, as tonight was pizza night.
I smiled at him as I sat down, "You think so?"
Dad kept looking at me, and I smiled at him before shaking my head, "Don't worry, I was just having a great day today. Is it something bad?"
"No, but I like seeing my favourite daughter smiling like this," Dad confessed, and I smiled at him.
"But I'm your only daughter?"
"Your point?" Dad teased, "Well, I'm glad whatever makes you happy. Makes you happy. I do hope nothing bad happens."
I assured him as I texted Namjoon back; we'd been talking since that day, and we'd gotten closer than ever. I think not the only dad who notices but the girls too.
Dad asked questioningly, "Is it a boy?"
I choked on the pizza as dad gave me a knowing smile, "I would like to meet the boy who made my daughter flustered unless you're batting on the other team –" groaning at what dad said. Dad has been supportive of my love life, but there's nothing wrong with batting for the other team, but not this time, girls. I have my eyes set on Kim Namjoon.
"아빠,그만해... I'm not – it Namjoon alright," flustered at his name.
Dad raised his eyes at what I had said, and he put up his father's mode on, "Oh. Did the boy manage to return your feelings?"
Looking at his widened eyes, I stop him, "No... dad he-"
"Well, he better return them, or his going to get me angry. I might even have to reconsider him taking my daughter to prom next year' He looks at me. Right, the Rose Night Prom, how can I forget? It's an annual prom for the last year of high school. The Rose Night Prom is an event that no one would like to miss. Of course, there will be dancing and food, but it's the only time you can show off who you came with.
