Vraj's POV
I was coming out from the Commissioner's chamber after the meeting, regarding the increase in child kidnaps and chain snatching cases in the city.
My mobile started vibrating, my maa is calling // now she will start again// 🤥
"Hello! Maa,"
"Hello Vraj beta, are in leisure now" she asked.
"Ya I am, tell me maa" I said looking into the file in my hand.
"Did you meet Janaki?" she asked
// I am like a kid who is scared of teacher, did Janaki said everything to maa?, no no she will not, or what if she said already? What should I say now//
I was in my thoughts, and my maa shouting on the phone
"Vraj, Vraj beta, Vraj......."
"Haan maa, I was talking to my assistant, tell me now what did you ask," I said.
"I was asking, Did you meet Janaki," she asked again.
"Haan, I met her" I just said.
"Ok" she said and said again
"Cancel mine and sunny's ticket to Mumbai, only your papa is going to Mumbai on Monday" said maa.
"Why maa what happened, why you are not going?" I asked with eagerness in my words.
"If your decision is Yes to marriage, I want to be here to look after all the marriage arrangements, sunny will help me in that." She said
"What if I say no," I asked
"Then also I will not go to Mumbai," she said
"Now tell me, what is your decision," she asked.
"I will tell you tomorrow morning, is it ok for you," I said
"Ok ok take time," she said
"Why you don't want to go to Mumbai even after my No to the proposal," I asked
"If you don't marry, so what, Janaki will get married," she said which blocked my mind
"What! How she will marry" I asked
"Why, if you say No to her, do you think nobody will marry her? She got a good proposal from the USA, the guy is a doctor, he himself sent this proposal through his parents, if you say no, her parents want her to marry him. It's a good match in any way." She said making me dumbstruck.
"Oh," I said
" That's why I want to be here for her marriage, I asked Papa about this, he said ok and he also said that "because of summer, he will apply leave for few more days and come back after 2 days," she said
