I didn't expect to meet him, much less befriend him. At the time, I was just another bright eyed military recruit looking to get a free ride for college.

A young eighteen year old Kenny walked down the corridor. He was ordered by a higher-up to go and retrieve doctor Walter (L/n) from his studies.

The dark haired male pursed his lips as he recalled the words of his colleague,

"Dr. Walter?! He's a total nutcase! Good luck!"

A sigh escaped Kenny's lips as he navigated his way through the hallways. Searching for the named doctor,

I've heard so many rumors about how strange this guy is...

Kenny clicked his tongue in annoyance,

"Why send me of all people to get him?Couldn't they have gotten someone else to do it."

The teen grumbled, and he stopped in front of Walter's office. Before pulling open the door reluctantly. The dark haired male cleared his throat loudly, before speaking,

"Dr. Walter? Are you in here?"

He inquired, as he entered the doctor's study and a man wearing a large white lab coat flinched. The unconventional man turned in his seat, as he chuckled deeply,

"Yes, I'm here."

The older male returned, as he stood up and dusted off his pants and upon hearing someone enter. A brown puppy came rushing to the door, and began sniffing Kenny curiously,

"Well, u-ummm..."

Kenny started, furrowing his brows as he circled around the overzealous animal before parting his lips to speak,

"The commander wants to talk to you. Says it's urgent."

He informed, and the doctor exhaled deeply as he adjusted his glasses. Walter knelt down and placed a palm to the puppy's head lovingly,

"Alright Lucy, I've gotta go. You stay here and be a good girl."

The doctor grinned, as the excited puppy licked his hand a few times and Kenny studied the animal meticulously,

"Is that your dog?"

The dark haired teen inquired, folding his arms across his chest and Walter nodded as he turned to the younger male,

"Yeah, I told them that I'd be a lot more comfortable if she was here with me. So, they let her stay."

Kenny snuck one last glance at the small puppy before they both exited the office. Kenny's lips pursed slightly as he recalled Mark's words about the strange man,

"So, why exactly are you here? Our commanders won't tell us why. Are you just here for moral support or something?"

Kenny inquired and Walter cackled boisterously,

"Well, my being here is classified. Though, I will admit..."

He trailed off as a rather saddened look crossed his features. He reached into his lab coat and pulled out a photo, showing it to the soldier beside him.
