This is the picture that might have inspired the whole story. The picture of them together was so cute, and I started wondering what would happen if a school dance became tradition 4th year....

The rumors surrounding these two boys are so similar, yet they also couldn't be more different. For Scorpius, he's trying to escape his father's infamous legacy and prove himself as a human. Yet Albus is constantly unable to live up to his father's legacy, working hard to come out of the shadow of the Chosen One. For some reason this forged a strong bond between them, one I didn't want to forget in this story.

Of all the friend pairs in the Harry Potter franchise... these two may be the dorkiest duo. Their dynamic is so different and made "The Cursed Child" so unique. We've been trying our best to incorporate that into our writing to stay true to our characters relationship. They did start as friends. Best friends.

And, finally, a kiss. I've seen so much fan art over time, but this still remains one of my favorites. It's clean and just purely them. It's not Drarry, they're both in Slytherin robes if you look close, but it's Scorbius and Albus alone and together. It's really beautiful. Plus THEY LOOK SO HAPPY!
