Chapter 11

Forth POV

Beam went for his checkups, and I was waiting for him in the hall.
I texted mom to say that we'll come over after we're done.

After few minutes, I saw Beam come out with a lady. I think she's a doctor, cause she's wearing a white coat. she seems young and beautiful.

The way they were talking, it looked like they know each other. They seems close.

"Okay then Beam, take care, if you need anything you can call me na" she said as she patted his shoulder and smiled.

"Alright, thank you n'a P, then I'll go now" He said as he give her a bright smile.
Why does he have to smile like that...

After they said 'bye' to each other, Beam came to me and said "Sorry Forth, I make you wait long"

"It's okay Beam, you don't have to say sorry, by the way what did the doctor said?" I asked

"Doctor said, everything's okay and gave me some medicines" he responded.

"Okay, just don't forget to take them" because he always forget.

"Don't worry I won't" he reassured me.

"Ive already called a taxi, it'll be here in a few minutes"

While we were waiting for the taxi, Beam were talking with Pha in the phone. I can see that his expression suddenly changed.

"-Pha I'm really okay now, don't worry.

-...

-You don't have to come.

-...

-Alright, see you."
And they hung up the phone.

"Is everything okay Beam?"

"Pha wanted to come here but I told him not to."

" Yeah since I'm here" I rolled my eyes jokingly

The taxi came and we got in. My thought went back to that lady.
I wanted to ask him about that doctor, who is she? The way they were talking to each other.... I don't know... It made me kinda.... Jealous? Noo, I think I'm tired and over thinking too much. Let's just not talk about her. The building keeps disappearing one by one and finally we reach ours.

We entered our house and my mom suddenly hugged Beam. Am I not your son, mom?

"Mom, I'm also here" I said annoyed.
My mom chuckled and hugged me too. She brought us to the table were there was a LOT of delicious food. My mom is the best. Beam went to wash himself, so it was only me, myself and my mommy. The smell of the food made me crazy and I prayed for Beam to come faster. I felt someone coming from upstairs so I looked and it was Beam. We sat down and we ate everything because my mom forced us even though there was a too much food T^T. While we were eating...

"So Beam, how is your study  going?"

"It's pretty good auntie even though sometimes it's hard"

"Ooh, and no girlfriends?" she asked with a smirk.

I sense that Beam was flustered by the question and the atmosphere became awkward and I think my mom sense it too.

" Beam, I was just asking, it's because you're so handsome I thought that maybe a girl stoled your heart" she said while laughing.

Aisshhh, my mom is also very annoying. Beam smiled and nodded his head with a "no". We finished eating and I was so full. I think I can't eat for at least one week.

After we done eating, we went upstairs. In my room, Beam looked around the room.

"Forth, did you change something, it looks different?"

" Yeah, I moved my bookshelf and other stuffs"

"Ah, That's why... By the way don't you have class today Forth? "

"I have, but I think I won't go, because I don't want you to be alone here"
Because if I go he'll be alone. Mom will go to work and nobody will be here. He'll get bored alone.
I think it'll be good to stay with him.

"Forth, I'm okay dont worry, I don't want you to miss your class for me" He smiled and assured that he's okay, so I won't miss my class. But Why I feel like his eyes telling me stay.

"It's okay, if I don't go. since I don't have any important class today" i smiled back, I want to stay with him.

Beam suddenly approached and hugged me.
I was frozen by this sudden action.
His hug made me some type of way...
"Thank you Forth, for always staying by my side" He looked at me and smile.
why is my heart beating so fast...?
I just realised we've never hugged like this before. Maybe... that's why...

"No need to thanks Beam, this is what friends are for, who is always stay by each other side" I smiled and patted his shoulder.
