Me or Basketball?[A Josh Christopher Story]

I sat in my moms car nervous about going inside Mayfair High school. I looked out the window and then back at my mom.

"Your going to be fine. Just walk in there and be the girl I know and love" she said kissing my cheek. I smiled and finally left the car. I walked in and searched for my locker. I didn't need to put anything in there so I turned around and bumped into some tall boy. I looked up and saw him looking at me.

"Sorry about that", I said with my head down

"It's cool just don't let it happen again", he said smirking. I smiled and walked away

"Wait, what's your name?" he yelled

"Monica", I said as I kept walking. I walked to my first class not as nervous as I was before. I sat down in a random seat and saw the same kid I bumped into before walk in. He spotted me and took the seat right next to me

"Hey", he smiled

"Hey I never got your name", I said

"Joshua but people call me Josh", he said sticking his hand out. I shook it and went on to do my work. Me and Josh talked while we did our work. He was nice and really funny. As soon as the bell rang, we got up and we walked to our next class that we had together. Once again, we sat next to each other and talked.

The end of the day approached and as I walked out of the school, the familiar and only voice I knew by heart called me

"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to hangout maybe this weekend?" He asked smiling

"Yea...no. I don't do the hanging out stuff", I said shrugging my shoulders

"Why not?" He said curiously

"Cause I'm not into that type of stuff, I'm sorry" I said kind of feeling bad

"Well how about when I get back from my tournaments, maybe you'll have changed your mind?" He said

"We'll see Joshua", I said walking to my moms car

"Hi baby, who's that?" She said driving home

"Some boy I bumped into", I said

"Well...what's his name?" She said excitedly

"Joshua but it's nothing serious cause I just met him", I said shrugging

"Okay sure", she said smirking. The rest of drive home was quiet. We both got out and I went straight to my room. I didn't have any homework so I decided to take a nap.
