Sophomore Year

Me and Josh walked hand in hand towards the school building. We looked at each other and smiled. I honestly couldn't be more happy that we are finally together. It's a feeling I don't think I will ever get over

"Mo" he yelled snapping me out of my thoughts

"Sorry, I was daydreaming. Wassup?" I said

"I was saying that ima head to class so I'll see you 4th" he said kissing me. He walked off and I just stared at him. I smiled and turned to my locker.

"You and Josh dating now?" This girl said. I turned around and it was of course Vanessa.

"Yes. Why you wanna know?" I asked rolling my eyes

"Because I do. Just be careful tho, I'm coming for him" she said as she pushed me into my locker. I walked to class heated. It's bitches like her that make me hate this school. It's the first day of school, what the hell you mad for? I sat down and tried to focus on the teacher.

It was now 4th period and I had to see Josh. I'm trying to fake a smile just so he won't ask questions. I walk into class and find a seat. All I could think about was the situation. I'm one of those people to hold onto something until it's resolved. I don't hold grudges or anything, that shits not good for the soul. The table shifts a little bit and I look up to see Josh. I smiled and put my head back down.

"Hey you okay?" He asked rubbing my back. I shook my head yes.

"Baby what's wrong?" He asked

"Hey Josh. How was your summer break?" Vanessa asked. As soon as I heard her voice, my head shot up.

"Hey Monica" she said

"Go away" I said

"No I'm talking to Josh. Mind your business" she said with an attitude. This bitch...

"He is my business and you said something to me first so why don't you go to your table and don't come back over here trying to talk to MY MAN!!" I said being pissed at this point

She walked away with an attitude. My leg shook so fast that it felt like I was running.

"Monica, what's wro- NOT NOW JOSHUA!" I yelled getting up and walking out the classroom. I walked down to the gym to see my soccer coach sitting down on the bleachers. I walked towards her and sat down

"Aren't you supposed to be in class?" She asked

"Yea but I'm just so mad right now. This bit- I mean girl keeps testing me and I really wanna hurt her. This morning she pushed me into a locker and told me that she's going to take Josh away from me and then she tried to be all friendly with me in front of him. That honestly pissed me off and then I yelled at Josh and I feel really bad" I said shaking my head

"Monica listen. I've seen the way Josh cared for you even before he was your boyfriend. I could tell he had strong feelings for you and that's still till this day. No matter how many girls throw themselves at him, he only wants you. That girl that wants to take your man isn't going to because you have his heart and there's no way he is going to mess up something so great with you for that girl who sounds like a terrible and nasty person. When you see him, go apologize and tell him why you got mad" she said rubbing my back

"Thank you so much, that helped a lot. Do you mind if I just hang out here for the rest of the period?" I asked

"Yea go do what you usually do" she said and I walked down the bleachers grabbing a soccer ball. Her words really were helpful and I know he's definitely going to forgive me.

It's now the end of the day and I was waiting for Josh. I saw him looking down at the ground and then he looked as if he knew someone was staring at him. We made eye contact and he walked towards me even faster. Once he got to me, I hugged him.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you. Vanessa said some shit that really had me heated and I didn't mean to take it out on you" I said sincerely. He pulled away and kissed my lips.

"It's okay Mo. I figured she did something to you after you went off on her. Whatever she said isn't gonna happen. I only want you. There's no one especially her that can replace you" he said as I smiled at him. I kissed him.

"Come on, I just wanna lay with you" I said

"Alright I'll be right behind you" he said as he walked to his car.

Once we got to my house, we laid down and just closed our eyes. It was honestly the best feeling to just lay next to each other after a crazy day.
