HIS STORY STARTS with the end.
When Taehyung was a child, his mother fell ill to one of the worst flu epidemics to date. In order to keep Taehyung safe from the sickness until they found a cure, his father turned to an old friend.
The first time the young boy came to the castle was the last time he ever got to see his mother.
The night he received the letter that tore his entire being apart, he found himself standing on top of the tallest tower in the castle. As he stared down at the courtyard from the window, he despised himself more and more. So much that his mind even began to wonder what it would feel like if he fell out of this window.
"You're not going to do what I think you're going to do, right?"
The presence of someone else in the once deadly quiet room startles him, and for a second there he really could've fallen out. Snapping his head towards the newcomer, he squints his eyes to make the person out through the darkness.
He's seen her before; but at the time she had been hiding under her mother's robes. For whether she had just been shy with strangers or just harboured an unwillingness to socialise, he found out sometime after that it was the latter choice.
The tiny princess strode to his side and took a peek out of the window before adding in a stoic voice, "Its a long way down."
Its long enough for me to never come back up again, Taehyung thought.
Saeron's eyes shifted back towards him, and it was only then that he realised he had been mumbling those words aloud. The fact that the princess was hearing all these dark and gloomy words from him made him feel like he was violating the law or something. But the only thing she did was crack the tiniest of smiles. And then she headed back towards the doorway.
His eyes widened at her reaction. "W-Wait!"
She stopped, looked over her shoulder just a little bit.
