The awaited day has finally arrived, the Eid joy is felt at every angle, the presence of it is felt as well.
Ruqayyah was in the kitchen baking the last set of cookies that will be taken to Yahya's grandparents house, for the Eid get together, as it has been a tradition for decades. The house being a big one with a big family. So every child is expected to come with his family after the Eid prayers and that's where the whole day will be spent at.
It was seven o'clock, Baraka walked to the kitchen and carried a sac which contained grains that will be given as Zakatul-fitr.
Malam Zayyanu, the former driver of Baraka's husband when he was alive had come already to collect it as requested by Baraka.
"Ruqayyah, go and take a bath. I will take care of it." Baraka said offing the cooker she had finished frying some chicken with.
"Alright." Ruqayyah said and left.
Moments later, the trio; Baraka, Ruqayyah and Yahya were all dressed up in their new attires specially for the day. They took some few pictures and left to the mosque for prayers.
Amina examined the shoes that were outside for a while before entering into the house, they were back from the Eid prayers and behold a pleasant surprise awaiting her presence in the living room.
"Kaka Fure, so you were actually coming." Amina said hugging her aunt.
"Since I made a promise, do you think I will risk not fulfilling it?"
"No. That reminds me, I hope you didn't forgot my gift." Amina asked already looking for Kaka Fure's luggages.
"You took after Bawa, he doesn't forget things at all, likewise you. I will give it to you when I've rested."
"Alright. I forgot to greet you, pardon my manners. Ina kwana." She greeted.
"Anyi Sallah Lafiya." Kaka Fure replied.
Right on cue, Hindatu walked with a tray filled with some refreshments with Hajja trailing behind her.
"Sannu yanmata." She waved at Hindatu who answered and greeted her before leaving.
"Kaka Fure and her person, she's already disturbing you right." Hajja giggled as she served her some juice.
"Let me spend some time with my daughter, I am aging and getting older with each passing day." She said taking the cup from Hajja.
"You're right. How is Wardanga, Sule, Aisha and their parents?"
"They are all fine. They extend their greetings and compliments."
"That's good. Amina call Zubaida to say hi to Kaka Fure."
Amina stood up and left to call Zubaida, she still isn't over her yet. Tho, she hasn't shown her any signs like she knew she has Mu'az number.
"Come and say hi to my aunt." Amina said and left to the living room.
"She's coming." She said and walked to the kitchen to get herself something because by noon she will be so busy attending to the unending guests that will be trooping in and out.
Zubaida walked elegantly to the living room, with her heads bowed down. She greeted Kaka Fure and was about to leave when she was called back.
"You look so familiar." Kaka Fure said.
"I do?" Zubaida asked looking at her. She almost choke on her saliva upon noticing the woman, She knows her somewhere.
"You are Musa's daughter right?"
