If a smile,
Is what defines
A person.Then,
A thousand pages
Cannot define you.For your smile,
Defines not only you,
But your beauty and generosity.

Days passed by in blur, Zubaida is gradually remembering some things from her past. Things like her school, her best friend her parents and the whole Wardanga itself.
Mu'az had kept his promise that night and since then, he had ensured to call her frequently.Eid-ul-adha also came and passed, now, only some few guests that troop in and out extending their eid greetings.
She was arranging some clothes in a mini box, as they will be traveling to kaduna, for a relative's wedding. At first, she had refused to go, but Hayaat coaxed her into going after receiving a two days expletives from the mighty Farida. She couldn't bear it more, so she had to just succumb or else, an outbreak of insults will rise in the house between her and the former; Farida.
A shrill sound came from her phone, she hastily took it from the bed and checked what it was. It was a goodnight message from Mu'az, a smile crept to her lips and gradually turned to a grin, she realized she was blushing when she felt her cheeks go sour. She thought of replying him immediately but refrained from doing so.
"Let him not think his message is what I've been anticipating, gara inja anjina." She mused to herself.
"Says a wretched lass." Farida's voice echoed in the room.
Zubaida decided to ignore her and placed the ankos that were brought earlier by the seamster in the box, they were three different ones. One for the wedding dinner, another for the Kamu and the last one for the yinin biki/walima.
"You dare not ignore me whenever I'm talking to you!" Farida grabbed her loosed boubou from behind which chocked her. Zubaida abruptly turned almost hitting her head on the bed, she began hyperventilating and pushed Farida, so as to free herself from her hold.
Farida quickly stood up and adjusted her dress, she then walked over to Zubaida who was also standing and was ready for any fight with Farida. The latter slapped Zubaida to which she also revenged.
"If you dare lay your hands on me again, I will give you a peace of my mind." Zubaida said to Farida, who was massaging her hurting cheek.
With a distasteful look, Farida angrily turned to leave the room, unfortunately for her, Aisha her niece had spilled some juice on the stairway. Farida didn't notice the liquid as she was descending, with a step forward, the liquid overpowered her stamina, she loosed her balance and began rolling down the stairs like a ball. It was a pathetic yet, humorous view.

"Kauyawa day, seriously?" Abida eyed Maleekah.
"Help me tell her, I can't even begin to imagine it." Asiya, Maleekah's sister added.
"It will be fun and interesting, I trust Maleekah." Ruqayyah chipped in.
"Thank you." Maleekah grinned at her. "You're the only that supports my idea." She added.
"You're welcome." Ruqayyah smiled.
