Your smile,
Melts away my worries. My eyes yearns to see you,
To lighten my darkness.

Zubaida worriedly shook Auwal, but all he does were more painful wails. It was two o'clock in the morning of a Tuesday, she couldn't just go and start knocking on Hayaat's door at that hour. She switched on the lights of the room, and offed the air conditioner with a thought of it been what's disturbing him. But still, his wails didn't subside.
She scooped him into her arms and began rocking him and gradually, he began dozing off. She gently laid him on the bed, and her palm brushed over his forehead, she became alarmed at his temperature, his body was really hot and she had no idea what she could do to him at that very hour.
Since he's asleep already, she let him be, making a mental note to inform Hayaat later.
At five forty, Hayaat softly knocked on her door which jolted a sleeping Auwal awake, and instantly, he began crying; unstoppably.
"Zubaida, wake up. It's time for prayers." She peeped through the door. "Oh you're awake already, and Auwal too is up early today." She beamed.
"Yes, he's been crying and his temperature is high, perhaps he's having a fever." Zubaida apprised.
"Oh eyyah, that's bad. We shall take him to the hospital later." Hayaat said and left.
Zubaida sashayed to the toilet where she performed ablution and exited, she switched on the light and checked on her baby. She noticed his eyes had become tinted and his limbs were a bit swollen.
She hurriedly ran to Hayaat's room and met her praying, she impatiently began pacing back and forth in the room almost tripping. Hayaat, whom noticed that looked up at her worriedly."Zubaida, is all well?"
"Aunty, Auwal..." she tried catching up her breath. "Auwal, he's terribly sick Wallahi."
She panted, "help me please, I don't want to loose him. He's all I have Wallahi."
"Is it that bad?" She rhetorically asked.
Zubaida briskly walked to her room and met Auwal laying on his stomach as he mumbled some cries to the bedsheet.
Hayaat upon seeing that, ran downstairs, where she collided into Gaddafi whom just came into the house from the mosque.
"Hayaati, you look worried. What's wrong?" He held her shoulders.
"Auwal needs to be taken to the hospital, right now." She said in an authoritative tone.
"Is everything right?"
"If everything is right, I won't be panicking, will I?" She inwardly scoffed.
They were about to ascend the stairs when they noticed Zubaida is already down with her baby and Farida who was standing midway of the stairs.
"Farida, we will be going to the hospital now, Auwal is not feeling so well, Aisha is still sleeping." Hayaat informed in one breath.
