The night moved slowly, the quest for Zubaida continued.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Wardanga, far from anyone's thoughts lies Zubaida whom was struggling to at least breathe properly. She was in a room, a very dark room, that has no windows. It's very wide in such that every word uttered will echo within.
How she got there, when she got there and why she is there still remains a thriller to her.Her eyes remained opened without any flicker, but her mind is drifted to somewhere far, far, away.
She touched her head to feel the injury she remembered sustaining earlier, but felt a bandage instead.
Who could have done this?
Magaji? The thoughts of Magaji made her recalled the earlier incidence, the child he was talking of, and everything that happened at Baba Habu's residence.

The call for Subh prayers rose a lot of shoulders from bed that dawn, for people like Ruqayyah, it only raised their butt from the chesterfield she has been seated on since they returned home.
The house felt empty, very empty without Zubaida. Usually, she is the talkative of the house, and probably planning how Ruqayyah's wedding would be.
If only what happened earlier hadn't occurred, if only...
But things happen for reasons right?
Sighing deeply, she went out of the room, and the chilly air brushed over her bare skin making her miss the warm room she just left.
She hastily performed ablution and came back to the room to play.
Her phone rang immediately after her salaam, she reluctantly picked the call, seeing that it's a hidden number."Good morning Ruqayyah." A husky voice greeted.
"Good morning." She answered unsure of whom the caller is.
"I know you spent the night so restless," the voice paused and some shuffles were heard. "But, it doesn't matter. The thing is, I have her with me."
"You have who with you? Are you sure you're speaking to the right Ruqayyah at all?" She asked checking the screen of her phone. Her battery is very low and the phone can die any minute.
"I have Z..." the call ended. Not that the caller declined it, but because her battery has run down.
Now the restlessness hit in real bad, she became confused and lost.
Could it be he has Zubaida with him?
The question kept disturbing her mind till sleep overpowered the thoughts and so she slept off.

"Don't harm her, she's our weapon now, just like she is their weakness." He said to the other three men standing in the room.
They nodded simultaneously and waited for further instructions from their master.
"Give her some food when she wakes up, and don't forget the pills prescribed for her. Magaji shall be punished for his incompetence."
"Yes master." The ring leader answered and signaled to the other two to leave.
"Master," the ring leader called, "why don't..."
"Save it Habibu." The master cut him short, for him to have addressed him with his name means it's something very serious, and not saying anything furthermore would be better.
