"So we are now officially lovers, right?" Aleeyu asked delighted.Ruqayyah ducked her head coyly, she raised her head almost immediately and their eyes locked, each of them has a smile perched on their faces. She quickly averted her gaze, suddenly picking interest on the luscious rug.
She deep her feet into it slightly feeling its warmth."So, the talkative Ruqy is now shy," he paused and stole a glance at her, "Love is full of wonders." He teased.

"Say it again please.""Fine, let me get going. And mind you," she turned to look at him, "you have successfully been unloved." She stood up to leave.
"Come on my love, do you want me to die?" He gasped, dramatically placing his hands on his chest.
"Yes. After all, kullu nafsin za..."
"Ruqayyah!" He shook his head. They said their goodbyes, with Aleeyu giving Yahya some token and he left with both Ruqayyah and Yahya accompanying him to the gate where he parked his car.
"My love, I got you this." He passed her a shopping bag. At first, she was reluctant to collect the bag, but later on indulged.
"Bye." She waved as he set to leave. and she remembered something which made her stopped him.
"About what we talked of few weeks ago, you remember?"
"Yes. I will tell you when next we meet."
"I look forward to it then."
Baraka was scrolling through the channels before she settled for Arewa24, on cue, Ruqayyah and Yahya entered.
"Hajiya Ruqayyah." She beamed.
"Yes, Hajiya Aunty." She flushed, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Baraka eyed her playfully and requested to have a word with her privately, giving Yahya a chance to change the channel.
"So, tell me what's with this unusual beaming."
"It's all about my forthcoming graduation fah."
"So you love him." Aunt Baraka asked, taking her off guard.
"Well, it's still an unsettled feeling. Now that you asked, I'm beginning to doubt. Perhaps I was too quick in my decision." She replied honestly.
"Take your time Ruqayyah, if you love him, time will tell and so if you don't. But, with the way you keep grinning now, I can't help but say you're in love with him." Baraka smiled, cupping her niece's face.
