The Darkness Before Dawn

I watched from my room at the glorious destruction my new and even better digimon partner Kimeramon. He followed my orders to destroy whatever section of the digital world I told him to.

He was perfect. However, Raya hasn't spoken to me since his release. But no matter, we'll have plenty of time to talk once I find the other pieces and wake her up. I've missed those kind honey gold eyes of hers, so I was excited to see them again. And with all this chaos, they'll have no choice hut to reveal themselves.

My base hovered over the newly destroyed town, leaving behind a trail of comtrols spires in my wake.

"This is what I call fun." I said laughing at the beautiful destruction, "Go ahead and run, but there's nowhere to hide. Soon, I will have total control over the entire digital world and finally find the missing pieces. Then Raya will wake up and I'll have my friend back."

Little did I know that Wormmon was standing behind me, a sad expression on his face.

"Another city destroyed. This is terrible." Kari said as we watched the burning and destroyed city in the distance.

"Ken does a lot of damage from his flying RV, even if it does look like a giant flying slug." Davis insulted.

"And all those poor digimon. They don't have a home anymore thanks to Ken." Kimiko said sadly.

"I'm tired of bad things happening to good digimon." Davis said.

"Wait until I get my paws on Ken." Raidramon growled.

"He's just destroying everything in his path." Digmon added.

"And he shows no signs of letting up." Halsemon said.

"It's like he wants to burn every square inch of the digital world." Cody said.

"Bite your tongue!" Yolei scolded.

"That can't be very good." Tentomon said misunderstanding the phrase.

"Cody is correct." A new voice said from behind us. All of us turned around on the cliff and saw the human versions of Raya's crests of Compassion, Selflessness and Harmony.

All of them carrying sad and worried expressions on their faces.

"Compassion, Selfless, Harmony, what are you three talking about?" Kimiko asked.

"Ken indeed wants to control the digital world, but he also wants to wake Raya up." Harmony explained.

"He thinks by destroying these towns, it will help gain more control and force us out of hiding." Compassion said.

"But that won't happen. He can't take us by force. That method won't wake Raya up. She needs to call us in order for that to happen." Selfless finished.

"Well I don't care what it takes. I'm going to stop that thing and get Raya back." I said determinee to do what I have to. I clutched Raya's pendant in my hand tightly. Ever since Cody brought it back I wore it always, never letting it go.

"Tk's right, we have to destroy it and get Raya back, no matter what it costs us." Kari agreed.

"I think everyone agrees, but even with all of us combined, we still don't have the power to defeat him." Pegasusmon said.

"So now what?" Kari asked.

"We have two options: quit or give up." Tentomon suggested, "Because nothing will stop him until he runs out of gas."

Cody looked around for a second, repeating what Tentomon had said about gas.

"Cody Hida, I think you have an idea, am I correct?" Harmony asked.
