Genesis of Evil

~~~~Raya~~~~

I felt the warm rays of the sun wake me up. Slowly I opened my eyes and smiled at the familiar sight of my room and Luna sleeping by my side.

I quietly got out of bed trying not to wake up Luna, but then i realized that Luna wasn't the only one sleeping in my bed. I turned to my left and saw my little brother, Genki sleeping next to me.

Ever since I got back home, he had hardly left my side. I found it adorable.

By the time I got finished taking a shower and getting dressed, my brother and partner had woken up.

"Raya?" Genki asked rubbing his eyes as he yawned.

"Good morning, Genki." I said walking to my bed and kissing him on the forehead. He smiled and Luna jumped onto my shoulder.

"Listen, I have to go see a friend, okay? I'll be back later on today." Genki grabbed my hand to keep me with him, but I smiled and picked him up in my arms.

"It's okay, Genki. I promise that I won't leave you like that again." Genki nodded and he stayed in my arms until we made it to the door. I wet him down, put on my shoes and waved goodbye to my brother before leaving.

As we took the elevator down to the ground floor, Luna looked worried.

"Do you really think Ken will be all right?" She asked, "He seemed really sad the last time we saw him."

I wondered the same thing for the past few days. Ken was broken, and I'm not sure that he would ever be healed completely. Those cracks in his heart might be able to mend back together, but they'll still be visible.

He was beaten by the younger digidestined, brought back to reality, lost his partner, ans brought back home with so much on his mind.

"Don't worry, Luna. I'm sure Ken can get through this. He just needs a little help." I said, walking the familiar street to Ken's apartment complex.

I don't know how long I've been asleep, but I could hear my mother speak to me. She sounded so worried but I couldn't wake up just yet. Not until I found my heart. If I could find my heart, I could figure out who I was supposed to be.

And once I find it, everything will go back to the way it was. Like back when I was a little kid.

~~~Flashbacks~~~

I was standing on the balcony with my older brother Sam, the two of us smiling happily as we played.

"I used to learn everything from my older brother Sam. I remember the time he first taught me how to blow bubbles. At first I couldn't do it, but he kept encouraging me. Soon, I was blowing bubbles bigger than he was. Sam was the real genius of the family. I was so proud of him."

One day, mom and I went out for a little shopping, and as soon as we came back to the neighborhood the ladies who lived near us swarmed the two of us.

"Here come the neighbor ladies." I sajd happily, my childish nature being excited to see new people come up to us.

"My cousin has a friend who knows someone that your little Sam is the smartest boy in school."

"Can I get my picture taken with him?"

"I have three daughters I'd like him to meet."

"Has he decided to be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon?"

"Where can I get his autobiography?"

"You and your husband are geniuses to have had him."

"Can I get a lock of his hair, I'd like to have him cloned."
