Chapter 22: The (Almost) Perfect Date

Octavia's POV

Tonight was the night, I was so excited about my date. I had talked to Off the Hook about this and they helped me with how a date works in this world and they would guide me on this evening helping me through a special communicator disguised as earrings, I had put on a comfortable enchanted dress with pink glitter I still had my normal shoes on but this wasn't an extremely formal double date. Aio had left a while before he said he had to go meet someone than I heard footsteps coming

"he's coming" I whispered

"Well get up and open the door but not too soon" pearl said and that's what I did and I waited.

Aio's POV

This was stressful, I had on my customized icewave suit (where it's a suit but with the color scheme of the icewave tee made by Frozo I'm still amazed on how he gets things like this) and had fake contacts in they were my line of communication to Frozo so that he can see what I can see and he had also given me something great now instead of my normal band that keeps my topknot in place he had given me a special sapphire emblazoned band with the designs of squids on them it was extremely kind of him I had a two roses in my hand a blue rose and a hot pink rose.

I was at the front door I took a deep breath

"OK so knock on the door when she opens it ask her if she's ready to go and give her the Roses too then compliment her." Frozo told me

"OK" I muttered I knocked I waited for a bit than Octavia opened the door the words I was about to say jammed in my throat as I saw her it was Octavia as normal but different she had on pink diamond earrings and a glittery dress that made her eyes sparkle I tried to say something but the words that were still jammed in my throat previously blocked it

"hello Aio you ready to go?" she asked I swallowed

"AIO WHAT ARE YOU DOING COMPLIMENT HER THAN GIVE HER THE ROSES!" Frozo told me I swallowed again

"uh... you look great Octavia" I said Frozo (who I could see in the upper right hand corner) facepalmed

"just give her the roses" he said I calmed myself down

"here these are for you" I told her giving her the roses

"thank you their wonderful" she said as she put the blue one in her hair and the hot pink one into my suit so that the flower was on my chest I was still nervous why does this have to be so hard. Then I remembered what Vivi said about chivalry and my sense of honor kicked in helping me along on this tough matter.

"well shall we go now m'lady?" I said I held out my arm out for her to link into, Frozo was nodding

"good now when she takes it make sure you guide her along though not so tight as to be suffocating they need to also move on their own, especially when the girl is so interested in life on the surface," he told me she looked over her shoulder casually than

"OK" she said she gently grabbed hold of my arm with her right hand the contact sent shivers down my arm she walked down the small steps filled with grace, only because of a sense of duty kept me from gawking

"so where are we going?" she asked

"to the theatre it's not that far from here" I told her

"well it's a good thing I'm wearing shoes or it would've been a nightmare," she told me I laughed what she had said fit her so well she smiled
