1. Love letter.

Third Person

"Ro, careful." Kiara scolded her brother.

"Shut up, Kia." He retorted.

"No, you shut up. Stop making so much of noise. Dad and mom shouldn't know we're here in the store room." She whispered.

"Well, they won't." Rohan whispered back, handing a bunch of photograph albums to his sister.

"I really hope they like our surprise." Kiara mumbled with a smile.

While getting down the stool, Rohan pushed a box down by mistake which made a loud noise.

"Ro, I will kick you." Kiara whispered, angrily.

"Sorry." He muttered, before putting everything inside that fell out of the box.

"Kia, look at this." Rohan said, as a letter grabbed his attention.

"Mr. Crush," Kiara read the first sentence.

"This looks like a love letter." She added, looking at her brother.

"Wow, dad got a love letter? That's so cool. Was it by mom?" Rohan asked her.

"No, it's someone named Aish." She said.

"Who's Aish?" He asked, confused.

"You know what, let's go to our room first before mom and dad get to know that we're in the store room." Kiara said.

Kiara and Rohan sat in their room and read the letter.

By the end of it, both Kiara and Rohan had mixed emotions.

"This is so sad." Rohan said.

"I know. Whoever this Aish is, she loved dad dearly to let him go." Kiara whispered looking at the letter.

"But why does dad still have the letter?" She questioned Rohan.

"Memory, I guess?" Rohan shrugged.

"Or maybe, he still loves her?" She guessed.

"He wouldn't have married mom if that was the case." Rohan pointed out.

"Arrange marriage?" Kiara spoke.

"But it doesn't look like it. Dad and mom are so in love with each other. You know about their PDA, come on, Kia." Rohan said.

"Was dad cheating on mom?" Rohan asked with a shocked expression on his face.

"Shut up, Ro." Kiara glared at her brother.

"I think we should ask dad directly instead of just assuming things." Kiara stated.

"Are you mad?"

"Come on, Ro. I'm really curious to know who this Aish is." She reasoned.

"So am I but...." Rohan looked unsure.

"But?"

"Let's not ask him infront of mom. I don't want to hurt her." He said.

"Do you think mom knows about this?" She questioned.

"I don't know."

"I think we should tell her." Kiara said.

"Are you mad?"

"She should know about it, Ro." Stated Kiara.

"No, she does not have to."

"She has the right to, Rohan Sharma." Kiara said, raising her voice slightly.

"No, Kiara Sharma. No." Rohan shouted, glaring at his sister.

"I'm going to tell mom about this. She has to know about it." Kiara said, standing up and running towards the door with the letter in her hand.

But before she could reach the handle, the door opened revealing Abhishek.

"Why are you guys fighting?" He asked his kids.

"Uh... dad." Kiara stuttered.

Both Rohan and Kiara were shocked and didn't know what to say.

Abhishek looked at his kids before his attention fell on the letter Kiara was holding.

"Kia, what's that?" He asked her.

Kiara quickly hid it behind her back and said, "N-Nothing dad."

"Don't lie, give that to me." He demanded.

"That's just-"

Kiara was cut off by Abhishek turning her around and grabbing the letter from her hands.

He looked at the first sentence of the letter and a smile made its way on his face.

"Where did you get this from?" He asked Kiara with a raised eyebrow.

"Store room." She muttered.

"And why do you guys have it?"

"We were just curious." She answered.

He smiled at his kids before turning around to walk out of the room.

"Dad, wait!" Rohan called out.

"Yes, Ro?"

"Are you cheating on mom? Don't you love her? Why do you still have this letter? Why did you smile looking at it? And most importantly who is Aish?" He questioned his father.

Abhishek smiled at his kids before walking out of their room, leaving a confused Kiara and Rohan behind.
