ABHISHEK

Aish and I ignored each other for the rest of the dinner.

I cannot believe she just flirted with Manjot right infront of my eyes. This might sound rude, but I honestly want to drown Aish in a swimming pool right now.

Ugh!

I glared at her, and Aish being herself, threw daggers from her eyes in my direction too.

"You guys look like you want to slaughter each other." Shubman joked.

"More like drown her in a swimming pool." I told.

"Or maybe just drive a truck over him." Aish shot.

"Throw her infront of a train." I said.

"Slice his throat." Aish said, picking up a knife from the table before pointing it towards my throat.

I gulped, looking at her.

You can't trust this female, she might as well slice my throat.

I turned my attention and ate my gajar ka halwa in peace.

Dhriti and Riya wanted to have an Amritsar tour so we decided to spend the rest of our days touring Amritsar. Making Golden Temple our first destination tomorrow morning.

We paid for the food and left the restaurant.

I was surprised to see Aish walking towards my car. I honestly thought she'd send one of the boys to ride back with me, but not that I'm complaining.

I unlocked the door from my key button for her to get in. While she sat in the car, I stood outside Shubman's car telling him to drive to the location I sent him on WhatsApp.

Walking towards my car, the only thing I could think about was how the one hour drive to the place we're going to would go.

The first ten minutes of the car was silent, neither of us speaking even once. 'Sukoon Mila' started playing on the radio and Aish increased the volume.

"Har pal haseen sa hua hai,
Saaso ko tune chhua hai,
Badi tujhse nazdeekiya,
Sukoon mila." I sang, glancing at her in the process.

She had a small smile playing on her lips. It was as if she was trying not to smile, but was failing miserably.

A chuckle escaped my mouth and I diverted my attention back to the road.

Soon enough 'Salamat' started playing and a soft 'oh my god' escaped from Aish's mouth with a huge smile on her face.

"You like this song?" I asked.

"I love it. It's one of my favourite songs." She smiled.

I nodded at her and turned my attention back to the road. As none of us spoke any further, I carefully listened to the lyrics of the song.

It's beautiful.

I had a soft smile playing on my lips during the entire song.

After a few songs 'Dilli Ki Ladki' started playing and I couldn't help but laugh.

Aish mumbled a 'shut up' while rolling her eyes and chuckling. Well, she understood the reason behind my laughter.

"Jannat se uthri haa, jaise koi pari hai tu.
Kitni haseen hai haa, sir pe chadi hai tu.
Dilli ki ladki haa, dil mei bassi hai tu.
Bilkul tu perfect, na tujhme kami hai kuch." I sang loudly, only to be hit on the arm by a laughing Aish.

A comfortable silence enveloped us again.

"This moment isn't coming back to us." I whispered.

"Moments never stay, Abhay." She spoke softly.

I looked at her.

"Moments never stay, whether or not you ask them, they do not care, no moment cares, and the ones you wish could stretch out like a hammock for you to lie in, well, those moments leave the quickest and take everything good with them." She continued.

I held her hand in mine for the rest of the journey. Surprisingly, she didn't pull it back.

We both knew that this moment would end soon, even if neither of us wanted it to. This moment would not come back to us, so we might as well give it our all and just enjoy each other's company.

We reached our location and stepped out of the car. Shubman parked his car next to mine.

I brought them to a small park.

We all sat on the grass, talking about how the day went by.

"Aishi, daadu ka call." Dhriti said, handing Aish's phone over to her as her phone rang.

I noticed it was a video call.

Aish excused herself and walked to a distance where we couldn't hear her.

That's when I checked the time. 10:48 p.m.

I remember Aish once told me that she and her daadu always sat under the stars and spoke. If they were in different places then they would video call. It was an everyday thing until daadu went into coma. But now, seeing he's fine and healthy, they're back at it.

I couldn't help but glance at Aish.

She had a constant smile on her face while speaking. She turned her attention to the sky, pointed at something and started laughing.

Unknowingly a chuckle escaped my mouth as I shook my head at her.

She's one pure soul.
