Collab with Casuallyy--be sure to check out her oneshot if you haven't already! We randomized the Hermits for this oneshot, and we both chose where they each went and interpreted the song in our own ways.

I also decided to implement Fandomsunite05's Switcheroo Challenge to turn a fluffy prompt angsty, or vice versa. Check out her oneshot book if you want more info!

And yes, permadeath is a thing here. Since Requiem is a somewhat angsty song, we decided to turn it fluffy, and here's the result. Enjoy!)

Tango wandered around the jungle, following the vine-covered, quartz-paved pathway that snaked in all directions. Peeking out from the top of the trees were tall white concrete towers with yellow accent blocks.

What had Xisuma called this place again? Project Harmony? This place was massive from the ground. You could get lost easily in the dense mass of foliage.

And X wasn't around to help guide him.

It had all been so sudden--the server had experienced a major glitch, to the point where some people couldn't move. Tango was one of them--he had found himself frozen in midair for about 15 minutes. At first, they thought someone was trying to hack into the server, but it wasn't that--it was like some sort of virus had come in somehow.

X had immediately tried to solve the problem, but in his haste, something had happened with the glitches, and he was just...gone. He'd saved the server, but he was gone. Lost, somewhere. They weren't even sure if he was alive.

Tango still wasn't over it--how could he be? X had been around since the start, and now he was just...how could he be gone?

For a while, everyone thought he was just missing, and there was an extensive search of the whole server. Grian, Mumbo, and Iskall even searched the End, but no such luck. They almost lost Mumbo, too, when there was a close call with flying too close to the void. That's when the search stopped. They couldn't afford to lose another person.

After X had...you know...Ex had come out of his mountain cave for the first time in years. X was the only person who had known where it was, and he had visited his brother often. They hadn't always had the best relationship, but Ex admitted that X had been a great brother. It was obvious that he was grieving over him--first the loss of their parents, now this.

Keralis and Bdubs were struggling too. They had been close to X last season with the IDEA partnership. Keralis was one of his close neighbors this season, along with running a concrete business together.

"He was a great friend," Keralis had said when Tango went to go check on him. "I just...miss him, y'know?"

They all did. The server had been less alive recently, as everyone was still trying to get over all this.

The admin permissions had been passed on to Hypno randomly, who was still trying to figure it all out. That was the final straw for some of them--if the admin permissions had been passed on, that meant that X was really gone.

Everyone was feeling sad about X, but Tango was determined not to bring the whole server to a halt because of it. That would do them no good. Plus, X would want them to move on, one way or another.

It was hard, though. Some days he just wanted to hole up in his base and grieve over X. But there were other people who were doing that. He didn't want to add to the problem.
