Jack Gilinsky POV

In the middle of dinner Gracie got up and went to talk on the phone.

This is a good time for me to vent about her to Nash. Well Hayes too but he probably couldn't care less.

"Okay so heres the deal. I really like her. But she's my best friend and I really like that since we spend all of our time together, but I want her to be mine and mine only but I don't want to rush things and something goes wrong so we're not even friends anymore. Sometimes we kiss and it just, it just, I don't know but holy shit. And that dress she's wearing. I've never really been in like a committed relationship. I just don't know Nash, I don't know "

Nash chuckles "Damn boy"

"So hows Meghan?" I ask

He shrugs "We've hung out a few times but nothing too serious"

"OOOH whos Meghan?" Hayes asks

"Oh she's a girl" Nash says

"Do you like her?" Hayes questions

"Shes nice and smart and cute, so yeah maybe a little" Nash admits

I see Gracie coming back.

"Hey who called?" Hayes asks

"It was Cam! He's coming home in a few days" She exclaims

I look at Nash and he looks so happy. Then his phone rings and its Cam. They talk for a while then hangup. I don't know how I feel about Cam coming back. He's like a brother but he went out with Gracie for a while and they really really liked each other. What if they start again

"I think I know what we should be halloween" Gracie says

"What?" I ask

"HIPPIES" She says

"That would be groovy" Nash says

I agree "Yeah, we'd have the best costumes at the party"

"Can I come? Please" Hayes begs

Nash laughs

"Hayes, you're only fourteen. I really don't want you to go to a party filled with seniors. Who even knows what would happen" Gracie explains

She'd make a good mother, if you're picking up what I'm putting down.

"So anyone want desert?" Nash asks "Cuz Im getting cheesecake"

"Me too" Hayes says

"Jack will you split a piece of chocolate cake with me pleeease" Gracie asks

"Yeah sure" I smile

When our desert comes she digs in right away. It's really cute how she doesn't care how much she eats.

"Wanna hear a joke" Gracie says

"Sure" we all nod

"Okay. What do you" She starts to tell the joke but then she starts laughing like crazy. People are staring at us and she can't stop. It just makes me wanna laugh. Plus she has whipped cream on her nose. She starts to calm down.

She takes a deep breathe "What do you call a fruit with amnesia?" then she laughs again.

We all shrug as she keeps laughing.

"A pine apple, cuz they're not pine at all"

I start laughing even though it wasn't really funny, but I don't want her to feel bad.

"What time is it?" Hayes asks

"9:30" Nash replies "Oh shit Chad told us to be home by 9:45 and it takes a long time to get there"
