"W-wait! This gotta be a misunderstanding! I just came here to ask for some help! Someone is stalking me every time when I go out or go and come from work!" You exclaimed, waving your hands frantically

"And we're going to solve that case" Ranpo said, walking to the couch to sit next to you, making Kunikida and Atsushi flinch. "But first, we've gotta solve a case of murder, miss"

"W-what did I do?" You muttered, some tears noticeable in your eyes. Ranpo's expression softened as he opened his eyes to look at you and smiled, tilting his head slightly

"Your cuteness killed me" he simply said

"E-eh?!"

"Ranpo-san, what are you--" Kunikida tried to say

"She's so cute that she's going to be the death of me"

"E-eh?!"

"You heard me" Ranpo said as you blushed madly, looking away. "Allow me to take you out on a date" he continued with a cheeky smile on his face

"Solve my case first!" You argued, the cutesy act being replaced by an angry look which surprised Ranpo a bit

"Alright, alright" he sighed with a smirk. "If this is what the lovely lady wants, this is what the lovely lady will get. But what will I get in return?"

"I'll go on a date with you" you said, crossing your arms to your chest while Ranpo pondered quietly for a little

"But it's not that good of a win" he whined. "I would have still taken you out, with or without solving your case"

You looked away and bit the inside of your cheek.

So, he wasn't that serious of a detective like you heard from others, was he?

One week ago

"Look, if you don't give us better details, we won't know who or if someone is stalking you" the policeman said

You looked at the ground, feeling how hope was gradually falling to zero.

"We don't have some sort of ability to determine in a minute who is that person that's stalking you" he continued

"But we do know someone who can do that, right?" Another policeman said and you raised your head in an instant to look at him. "Why don't you try asking for help from Ranpo-san?"

"Ranpo-san?" You murmured

"Ah, that cheeky bastard, again?" The first man sighed frustrated. "He's full of himself, don't bother going to him"

"Don't be like that!" The other one said. "He may be like that, but he is this way because he knows what he's doing, the guy's incredibly smart and has an amazing ability. He told us who the culprit was within a minute, last week. How the heck did he do it?" The guy thought before pushing a pair of invisible glasses, moving his hand like he was looking through some papers. "Ultra Deduction"

"Oh god, cut it out!" The first man said. "Stop idolizing that guy!"

"Nee, boss. Are you jealous?" The other man teased and the first one's face burned in embarrassment
