"She's going to kill me I think." Colby's voice sounded as I started to wake up.

"No she won't, we will make it up to her don't worry." His moms voice came through next.

What did he do?

I heard Mia fussing as I opened my eyes. The room was dim and I could see it was dark outside. How long was I asleep?

I groaned slightly and looked over to see Mia starting to cry.

"Don't cry sweet girl." I whispered and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "Good morning, Cora." Mrs. Brock said causing Colby to snap his head up to look at me as he bit his lip nervously.

"What did you do Brock?" I asked and glared at him as I held my arms out in front of me.

"Don't get upset.." he said and handed me Mia. I frowned at him as he nervously played with his earring. "I missed Thanksgiving didn't I?" I asked and he just nodded.

"God damn it, Colby!" I whined and I looked down at Mia as I held back the tears that were trying to form.

She looked up at me happily as she put her hand on my cheek, bringing me comfort, "we didn't do anything though, we wanted to wait for you." Colby said and sat next to me, "you guys waited?" I asked and looked up at them. "Of course we did! We couldn't have family Thanksgiving without part of the family.." Colby's mom said as she came up to smooth my hair down lovingly.

"Thank you..." I whispered and held Mia closer to me as she cooed. "Is anyone mad at me?" I asked and swung my legs over the edge of the bed so I could get up. "No, nobody is mad, they have been worried, but not mad." Colby said and kissed my head. "Well, let's go see them all then." I said and maneuvered myself so I could get out of the bed.

"Hey mom, can you take Mia?" I asked and looked up at her. "Of course, come here honey." She cooed and held her arms out for me to hand Mia over.

"How are you feeling?" Colby asked and I paused, evaluating how I was feeling. I felt almost numb. My head still hurt but it was more of a dull pain than the sharp flashes I was having before. I also still felt a little strange, but I guess losing your memory and then sleeping for an entire day could do that to you.

I smiled at him, "I feel fine." I decided and put my hand on his cheek, admiring his face, "I'm afraid my legs are going to be jello though." I said with a laugh as I carefully put my feet on the floor, "Colby help her." Mom said with a laugh as she bounced Mia.

"Hold on hold on." Colby said with a laugh and jogged around the bed to be by my side. I smiled up at him and slowly stood up as he wrapped his arm around my waist. My legs were definitely weak but Colby held me up with no problems,

"OH." I groaned dramatically as I took a step.

"what? Are you okay!?" Colby asked with a panicked tone causing his mom and I to both laugh,

"Yeah, I just have to pee." I said and smirked as he rolled his eyes, "Jesus, don't scare me like that, Cor." He said with a laugh, "you make it pretty easy, son." Mom said as she stifled a laugh. "Yeah yeah don't you have somewhere to be, MOM?" He asked as we slowly walked to the bathroom. Every step I took was easier than the last which I was grateful for.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go downstairs and let everyone know that you're coming down." She said with a laugh then turned to leave the room.

Colby stopped walking and pulled me into him by my waist causing me to giggle, "is this why you wanted her to leave?" I asked as he smiled softly at me, "no, but I'm not going to waste the opportunity of us being alone." He said and leaned down to kiss me. I couldn't help but melt into this kiss because he poured so much love into it.
