MACEY woke up because of the sunlight through her face. She opened her eyes, but she immediately squinted when her eyes felt sore. Ilang minuto bago siya nag-adjust hanggang sa nakita niya kung nasaan siya. She felt her tears forming in the side of her eyes again remembering what happened yesterday.

She fell asleep crying in the middle of the cemetery.

Bumangon siya mula sa pagkakahiga sa lupa. Her arms were itchy because of the fresh grass. Pinagpagan niya ang sarili at niyakap ang mga tuhod niya habang tumingala sa araw. The moon was replaced with the bright sun. The universe witnessed how she hoped for the best from Jaxon in the middle of the sea...but the universe was her witness too when Jaxon didn't choose her even how hard she tried.

Nakarinig siya ng yabag pero hindi siya lumingon. "Ma'am ayos lang po ba kayo?" It was an old care taker of the cemetery.

"A-ayos lang..." suminghot siya at yumuko. She looked at her wrist watch and it's already 7 in the morning. Kaya pala ang taas na ng sikat ng araw.

"Sure po kayo ma'am? Parang dito po kayo natulog eh."

Tumango siya. "Yes...uuwi na 'rin ako maya-maya."

Tumango na lang ang caretaker ng sementeryo bago siya iniwan. She sighed, and was about to stand up when her phone rang. Kinuha niya mula sa bulsa ng dress niya ang phone, and for her to see Candace calling. She even saw a lot of text messages and missed calls but she ignored it.

"Where the fuck are you?" Candace asked when she picked up.

"Pauwi na..."

"Saan ka galing?" Candace asked in a firm voice. Alam niyang galit ito o naiinis.

She sighed. "Candace—"

"Putangina, sagot."

Her tears finally fell. Napahikbi siya. "I'm..." napapikit siya. "He chose her...Dace. He chose Maxine over me..."

"Hindi na. I have Nami's car. Ibabalik ko na muna 'to sa bahay niya." She answered and wiped her tears. She didn't let Candace stop her because she already ended the call. She was fortunate that Nami's car was still there kahit hindi siya ini-lock ang kotse. The engine's already turned off. Nang makasakay siya sa loob ay binuksan niya muli ang makina. She placed her phone on the dash board, and started to drive out of the cemetery.

Her phone rang after she maneuvered the car. Sinilip niya iyon saglit, pero hindi niya sinagot ang tumatawag nang makita kung sino ang caller.
