izzy and joanna were in the airport, waiting for their flight to new york. joanna would be staying there for a week with joe and izzy before she went to film for the french dispatch.
"yeah, the perfect gentleman." she chuckled drly. "he texted me this morning saying he hopes i have a safe flight and to call if i ever need anything."
"well if nothing happened, joe owes me 10 bucks, if that's any consolation." izzy smiled, rubbing her friends arm.
"i think i uh, underestimated how attached i've gotten." joanna looked down. "it's embarrassing, we were just coworkers."
"you say that like he doesn't feel the exact same way."
"you think he does?"
joanna didn't need to say how she felt about tom, and neither did izzy. they both knew.
"there is absolutely no doubt in my mind."
